cause a Boise St to a BCS conference PAC 10 would be better for them in the long run. So now they get with only TCU since looks as if Utah will be leaving. BYU will be down this season and yes its better than the WAC but that is not saying much.Mtwasik wrote:Why should Boise have waited? Big Beyonces of Texas really should add two teams like Houston and TCU and move Oklahoma and Okie St to the North division to keep a championship game.
Looks like Pac 12 is looking at Utah...maybe Boise St should have waited
Fuckin' doctors. Always pulling that shit.DRiccio21 wrote:i haven't followed this stuff all that closely but to me the schools like Kansas and Baylor and Iowa St made out incredibly well.
they went from castoffs without a home to almost doubling their tv revenues from what i'm seeing.
thats like going from finding out you are about to die to having the doctor tell you that he read the tests wrong and you actually won the lottery instead

Of course not, but Pac-10 never looked at Boise. Pac-10 would take Utah because Utah is 1) a top academic university, 2) strong in all sports, and 3) brings in a strong TV market. Boise would do none of that for the Pac-10, MWC needed BSU though to get to BCS status ... something outsiders still think we can do even if we lose Utah.shel311 wrote:I know you're an MWC guy, but you're trying to say that Boise going to the MWC is better than them going to the PAC 10?Mtwasik wrote:Why should Boise have waited? I understand SEC was first but the Bog 12 was right behind them. "One the forefront" was read wrong I guess. No biggieChampDizzle wrote:Let's get this right, it was SEC that was in the forefront to make a 12 team league and a championship game in 92![]()

It seems like a big fuck you to every other sport and the fact that schools that have been linked together for decades will just up and leave for more money just cheapens everything. I am relieved that it seems to have been halted but it is probably only a matter of time.

My Cyclones will happily take the $14-$17 million per year (instead of the usual $7 million) and continue to be the Texas school's BITCH in f'ball!
Wow, that is nuts.GT25Ump wrote:1. Nebraska's and Colorado's buyouts (approx. $32 mil) are going to Texas, A&M, and OU ONLY.

those schools had no leverage, why in the world should they be getting more money? they still are HUGE winners just by staying at status quo
Give it time; Texas will tank this conference, too.GT25Ump wrote:DRiccio21 wrote:sucks for you (iowa st), but it makes way more sense.

ISU is just fortunate that King Texas didn't just tell them to take a hike....tryin' to look at the bright side, still in a BCS conference, just with a sore anal cavity!
