The entire nature of his game is to be ball dominant. He's not just going to stand around for a catch and shoot, when he gets the ball, he's going to shoot it.

I can't remember the exact numbers, but I read something along the lines of Russell by himself had almost as many pick and rolls last season than the entire Golden St team combined.

Miami moves Hassan Whiteside to Portland for Meyers Leonard and Mo Harkless. Guessing they have longer term money and Portland wants the expiring. Otherwise why the fuck would they want Whiteside

Whiteside isn’t bad, he’s just a headache and he’s not a max level player

He absolutely has value and in good situation is a nice asset. He’s one of the better rim protectors, lob catchers and rebounders in league. He should be getting Deandre Jordan type money tho, not what he’s getting

As an expiring deal he makes some sense to some teams

I think contract year Whiteside could be a good thing, maybe he will bring it like he did the season to get paid this time.

Thought I saw on ESPN this morning that they were going to try and move Butler.

Lots of hinting at the Lakers being a big favorite for Kawhi but please Baby Jesus let him go to 1 of the other 2 teams.

Virtually all of the vet minimum and exception type guys that would have fit with LA are gone, and if they don't get Kawhi it'll be Lebron, AD and a bunch of scrubs out there.

The basketball Gods have been kind to the Pels lately, but I'm just asking for 1 more favor!!!

Make it happen Kawhi.

Its not like if he doesn't go to LA the Pels are ever going to be good anyways so might as well enjoy the entertainment value with everyone else! :)

I bought a Nets Black on Black jacket 5 years ago at a game. My coworker thought i was crazy for buying it. Who knew it would be a premonition that my favorite player would eventually end up there.

Miami had to make a 4 team deal to complete the Jimmy Butler trade and had to send a 1st round pick to the Clippers.

And they still have work to do and possibly will have to amnesty Ryan Anderson just to get under the tax.

All that for a team with Jimmy Butler and not much else. Woof.

are you suggesting what they did wasnt good?

they traded Whiteside, Richardson and a future first for a top 20 guy in the league.

all the rest of that cap hell stuff happens with or without the Butler situation. what they pulled off was pretty remarkable and they are likely not done yet. obviously they aren't going to be a contender but they're better and they free'd up roster space to acquire a quasi star without gutting the core nucleus.
