So?? 439 yards and no INT's was not enough to win the game.
Great response, you've convinced me to change my mind.
Wasn't trying to. A win is a win. The backup didn't do enough to get the win. The starter did in the rematch. It's pretty cut and dry here. But keep arguing so you can say you won the argument

Imagine being the guy ignoring all the actual factors in both games telling the other guy he's jus arguing for the sake of arguing.
George is lost, out to sea on this one.

Cornell Powers had 6 catches for 161 yards and 1 TD in the 1st game. He had 4 catches for 59 yards and no scores in the 2nd game.
According to George he played better in the 2nd game because Clemson won and anyone who disagrees is just trying to win an argument for the sake of winning an argument.

Imagine getting all those yards and not getting the win....

George thinks Trent Dilfer is better than Dan Marino, and you're just arguing for the sake of arguing if you disagree.

1 player on offense can't do the job of 11 on defense

Until they do a real playoff and rid themselves of the bowl system, this is all bullshit.

I was thinking, "When does the non Power 5 break off from the NCAA and do their own thing?"
But then I came across these:

Give me 4 conferences with 16 teams each (East/West, Atlantic/Coastal... not Legends/Leaders... f'n B1G /sigh). If not that, then 8 conferences with 8 teams each. Standardize the matchups like a pro league and let's consistently find out champion.

I have not watched a single bowl game. All the opt outs already make many sick in a normal year and now with covid I just can’t get in to it.
Translation.... I stopped gambling on football like 4 weeks ago

Monster 1st game of the CFP for Mac Jones with 4 TDs.
To break Joe Burrows CFP playoff TD record, Mac will only need 11 TDs in the championship.
Yea, that was just a reason to mention that Burrow had 14 TDs in 2 games to finish the season.

I thought you had to leave the field if you were disqualified for targeting. Clemson #47 is still on the sidelines, so I'm guessing not

I guess we can do away with OSU not belonging in the CFP, even if they lose this game they have shown they are one of the best 3 teams in the nation
