TBH, I don't really have much sympathy for this guy. Seattle has been doing Seattle things for awhile.
agree! It's on par with thinking conservative values would be accepted in the Berkley area

shel311 wrote: Thu Jun 11, 2020 2:13 pm I'm guessing no because laws aren't always logical, but it would seem like any business in that 6 block area or whatever it is should be able to sue the city and win. Their business is being effected(understatement) for a prolonged time and the city/state is not even trying to do anything about it.
I called that one, it was obvious.

But it's probably made up because we were assured businesses and residents didn't mind what was going on at all!!!

...and?

Should we be surprised that the city attorney hadn't reviewed a lawsuit that was filed yesterday?

I said it 2 weeks ago, I'm not sure if this is something they can eve sue for, but laws are crazy, that doesn't make it right or wrong if the city can't be held accountable for letting these residents/businesses down like they did.

But any rational person would recognize their city government let them down and did nothing for them in the face of obvious lawlessness around their places of residence/business while the city themselves said basically they're on their own.

Sasha Cohen Baron trolling the right.

https://www.thedailybeast.com/sacha-bar ... JxOtgCXNrQ

apparently left in an ambulance and came back dressed as someone else

"Sacha Baron Cohen infiltrated the Washington 3% (local rightwing militia) event in Olympia a few minutes ago. A last-minute big donor paid to sponsor the event, and hire security... And then that security kept the organizers from getting on stage to stop Cohen."

I'll admit on the front end I don't fully know that story or the actual complaint of folks.

But when Trump handled the terrorist from Iran, his detractors cried about that, but now they're mad that he's not taking action?

What am I missing here? I assume there's something I'm not quite grasping.

FYI, the CHOP zone in Seattle is still alive. The city tried to dismantle it on Friday but failed, it's still going.

Oh, and who woulda thunk it...earlier this morning a 16 year old was killed and a 14 year old was shot and is in critical condition.

No biggie, it's only the 4th shooting in the CHOP zones roughly 3 week history. But that's all just normal stuff that the neighbors and businesses don't mind.

well maybe it'll be like the June 23rd incident where it was racist white ppl doing it to make the area look bad ...

June 23
On June 23, there was a third shooting within a span of four days near the zone, leaving a man in his thirties with wounds that were not life-threatening. SPD was reportedly investigating, but the victim refused to provide information about the attack or describe a suspect.[128] Also on June 23, Seattle's KIRO-TV reported that 33-year-old DeJuan Young, who was critically wounded on June 20, was shot in a separate incident by different people and a block away from where Lorenzo Anderson was mortally wounded. His shooting, said Young, was motivated by racism. "So basically I was shot by, I'm not sure if they're Proud Boys or KKK," said Young from his hospital bed. "But the verbiage that they said was hold this 'N-----' and shot me." He worries that his case is not being properly investigated. "I understand everybody's going to say, 'Oh, it was the CHAZ zone and ya'll asked for the police not to be there, so don't act like ya'll need them now."[129] Technically, however, Young was outside the zone.[130] "I was in Seattle streets," he said. "So what's the excuse now?"[129]

And you, Coug, and Crowes still haven't conceded how dangerous this place is.

You're still trying to tell us everything is fine there how, neighbors and businesses are more than happy with that area right now. None of you have even tried to budge from your original stances.

Hell, with each new shooting Crowes has just vanished from this discussion
