Buffalo

Manziel and Gilbert on top of swapping their 2014 3rd and 5th for Buffalo's 2015 1st and 4th... that's about as good as it could have went.

Re: NFL Thread
I'm not sure that any other team could take the boom/bust potential of Manziel and multiple it like Cleveland. He's going to be treated like a freakin' rockstar and that can only amplify any off the field issues that might be there. Then on the flip side, he has some weapons on offense and Shannahan is pretty solid at working his system around the QBs/players.

Manziel is not a franchise quarterback. He is a publicity stunt and a pick that Cleveland felt obligated to make at that point and him sitting there.

Re: NFL Thread
I'm all for it. When your team has shit the bed for this long, you take any excitement you can get.
I had 2 things that I wanted to see... #1, don't draft Bortles and #2, don't trade up... if someone told me today that we'd finish tonight with Manziel, Gilbert and the Bills 2015 1st, while still keeping the early 2nd, and early 3rd, I would have never believed it.

Re: NFL Thread
Houston is looking very good here as they got Clowney and can still get one of the quality QBs left as they dropped from what all the chatter was.
Possibly Bridgewater or Carr to begin the 2nd.

Who the hell is this Roby guy Denver got?
I was thinking LB but maybe none that fit a first round pick.

+1 Him doing that when coming on stage was unnecessary. It was like he just got picked #1 or somethingajalves wrote:Cnasty wrote:Manziel is not a franchise quarterback. He is a publicity stunt and a pick that Cleveland felt obligated to make at that point and him sitting there.

I'm calling it now, he will never play a full season in the NFL. He will get at least 2 to 3 concussions a season, and that's not including any other injuries he will take from getting blasted by these NFL linebackers

Re: NFL Thread
The last three QBs Cleveland has selected have all been with the 22nd pick. It's worked out for them so far

I like the mix of guys we now have. Graham hopefully back at TE more, Colston the possession WR, Stills the deep threat, and hopefully this Cooks guy will be able to do some big things working out of the slot, sounds like he has a lot of big play ability.

Re: NFL Thread
Cooks can be used how they utilized Sproles in the offense on little swing passes and hes a big after the catch type of guy.

Re: NFL Thread
Cooks told a Philly reporter that he compares himself to DeSean Jackson, but potentially better. I'd be pretty happy with those results.
