but what the fuck are the Saints doing with Mark Ingram?

My take is he simply hasn't been good enough to get on the field. I think he's had a few nagging injuries as well all last season and this first week as well.

Sproles is obviously a stud. Pierre Thomas is pretty solid too.

When Ingram gets reps, he simply hasn't done anything at all to warrant getting more carries.

I didn't like The trade/pick from the beginning but obviously didn't think he would perform as bad as he has so far.

Paying him for nothing?

just a guess, but the guy had one fo the lowest YPC in the league last year
he got like 8 carries a game tho.

tough to judge him on that
True, should he have gotten more carries from the other 2 guys?

why keep giving it to him if he's averaging 3.3? i mean it seems like a legit 3.3, not a barry sanders im evertually going to bust a 70 yarder 3.3

no he certainly shouldn't be getting carries over the other guys.

that was kind of my point... what the fuck are they doing with him even on the roster?

i'm sure plenty of teams would like to give a guy like him a shot in the backfield. i don't think he's the type of back that is going to succeed getting 8 reps a gm. seems like its just a bad fit all around cause i also don't see the Saints giving him 15-20 carries a game either.

he was on the field for 9 plays last game (does he play Specials? if he doesn't he seems like a waste of a roster spot if they are gonna use him that sparingly)

That I agree with. The reason never a need to draft him.

Any back we put there has succeeded in recent seasons.

last year Ingram was hurt but in week 1 the saints ran the ball 10 times total with ingram getting 6 of those carries. hard to judge anything off of that

I don't fret too much over that one. Our D wasn't good enough to go the distance.

Last year is the year that kills me. The way we lost to San Francisco, late after 5 turnovers, ugh.

If we win, we get NYG in the dome, where we were 9-0,average win by 22.

Ah well.

he was worse than bad last week, i grant you that. However, we should give him a few games at least right?

I mean he was barely worse than the almighty Vick

i'd tend to agree. However, who knows after 1 week. Maybe Philly has the best D in the league this year?? who knows yet.

although, if I HAD to bet, im betting weeden's ceiling is "average"
