Thunder 79, Kings 66

Both teams had a terrible 1st half, especially the 2nd quarter where neither team could make anything. The Thunder would take a 2 point lead into the 3rd quarter and finally start making some shots that would help them put the game away. OKC would have 5 players in double figures led by Wade (20), Stevenson (16), Mo (11), Okur (10) and Wright (10). Wright would not have a good shooting game but would have 15 rebounds.

nice game VVV

game one:
Kings visit Nets and actually shoot the ball well from the perimeter. Richardson started hot and then Thornton off the bench was POTG with 22 points to separate the two teams. Kings made their FT late and held on for dear life. GG Bernie

game two:
dealer was awful early and the kings were worse only scoring 8 in the 2nd quarter.

The visitors knew they had missed an opportunity to take a big lead into halftime, but were instead trailing by four. Unfortunately for Sacramento, the Thunder shot very well in the 3rd and even with a huge run to cut it to 3, they still trailed by too much entering the fourth. They couldn't get back into it and ended a four-game winning streak

couple big trades today

Knicks also back in action and beat a sloppy Clippers team. Clippers make 23 turnovers  in the game.

Thunder 71 @ Hawks 74

This was a great game, back and forth most of the 4th quarter and came down to the final seconds of the game. The Hawks would come down and get the ball to Dirk who would back Landry down, Dirk would then look to go for a turn around jumper but hesitated getting Landry to jump early, Dirk would then hit the bucket for a 2 point lead and 5.6 seconds left. DeShawn Stevenson had been the man for the Thunder down the stretch and on the inbounds play they looked to get it to him (with Wade on the bench, what kind of coaching was that  ) They would get it into Stevenson but in the paint and guarded by a man much bigger, the pass would then go to Arroyo who would become extremely nervous and try and make a shot that would be blocked. The Thunder would foul, but have to foul again with .05 seconds left, they would make the first and miss the second as time expired.

great game Daw!

Getting used to one another have the big trade was tough but after a second slow start against the Spurs, the Clips bounce back and split tonight. Wesley Matthews continues to play well in the new look Clips offense but the Clips would really like to get Marc Gasol more touches.

The Clippers were unconscious in the second half from three point range hitting 65% of their 3's.

Pacers 70 @ Pistons 92

This was all Pistons from midway through the first quarter. In their first game since their new trade, the new-look Pistons showed that they are going to be more active on defense, and much more dynamic on offense. John Wall flirted with a triple double, as he went for 16 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists, and even threw in 3 steals to boot. There was a 50 second stretch in the 2nd quarter where Wall got two highlight reel dunks, a layup, and a jumper; grabbed 2 rebounds, and had 2 steals, as he helped put his stamp on the game. Stephen Jackson had 15 points and 4 steals in his first game, going 6/12 from the floor and 3/4 from downtown. Pau went for 14 and 6, and Patrick Patterson rewarded the faith coach UK had in him, going 6/8 en route to 13 points, 3 boards, 3 assists, and 2 blocks. Harden had another iffy game but he wasn't really needed in this one.

The bench even got heavily involved, as Javele McGee turned his new role into 4 pts, 5 boards, 2 assists, 2 steals, and a block; and Rashad McCants went for 9 pts on 4/6 shooting (2/3 from downtown). As a whole, the team shot 57% from the floor and 63% from downtown, and shot 55% or better in every quarter. If this is a sign to come, watch out for the new-look Pistons, who are now over .500 for the first time this season.

GG kerg8ter!

Nets Triple Header Big Monday..

Game 1 drop a sloppy one to the Spurs.

Game 2 overcome an 11-point halftime deficit with 3 straight 3 pointers to open the second half and a buzzer beater three at the end of the third to take the lead for good as they take a revenge win over Indiana. Gallinari finshed with a season-high 23, highlighted by a 5-for-6 performance from behind the arc.

Game 3. nets volunteered to be the welcome mat for new Mavs owner and a thriller ensued. Horford paced the Mavs to an early lead, but the Nets scrapped away. Kobe and Shannon Brown were dueling in the second half, but it was Gallinari who hit a big 3 to tie the game at 71 and then a step-inside the line jumper to tie at 75 with 1 sec left, instead of going for the win. Bad decision as Kobe just took over in OT as he finished the game with 36 and the Mavs prevailed despite the Nets best offensive performance of the season. 5 players in double-figures led by Brown with 19. 2 players with double-doubles, Rose with 12 and 13 assists and Kaman had 16 and 11 boards.

Mavs 77 @ Pistons 84

Pistons win their 5th straight by fighting back from an early 11 pt hole and somehow doing just enough at the end to pull out the victory. With Pau Gasol in serious foul trouble for the first time all season, the Pistons had to rely a bit more on perimeter shooting to get this one done, as they went 9/12 from downtown. The game also came down to 5 second-chance points as the Pistons got 5 offensive boards and held the Mavericks to none. The second quarter was the difference in the game, as the Pistons hit 6/7 from downtown and outscored the Mavs 26-18, including 17-0 bench points.

Kobe gave the Pistons fits, going for 30 pts and 7 boards, but James Harden tried his best to answer. His 21 points and 4 steals were huge tonight, and he brought the crowd into the game big-time with his posterizing dunk over Kobe. Pau added 13 and 4 boards in just 19 minutes, while Javele McGee came in for him and got 6 pts, 8 boards, and 3 key blocks including two late. But it was a true team effort, with 9 players scoring, 8 of them getting at least six points each.

GG JustGiver, I have the feeling I won't get as lucky when I head to Dallas.
