It didn't look like anybody called any play whatsoever. When they cut away from Colt and crew just standing around to shiow the kicker taking his final warmup, there was like 15 seconds. The next thing you know they were lined up but just standing there. I don't think the team on the field and the coaches on the sideline were on the same page.Matt90210 wrote:jsence2 wrote:Something for thought....

He'd be the biggest goat of all time. He'd make Leon Lett look like a knock-knock joke.
Why it wasnt a QB draw or HB dive to set the ball up in the middle of the field baffles me.

Now, just to add one more thing, if there ws a playoff beyond just a "plus-one", this day would not have been so thrilling.
Texas Christian, Boise State, Florida, Alabama, Texas, Oregon, and Ohio State wouldn't have given a fuck about anything that happened today; they'd all be going to the playoffs. Wheee!!! The only teams concerned would have been Cincinnati, Iowa, and (sorta) Georgia Tech.
And that would have made for shitty TV.
Although, I am still pro "plus-one".
I'd assume the BCS would be ...
Alabama
Texas
Texas Christian
Cincinnati
Boise can go fuck itself with its schedule.
Alabama v. Cincinnati
Texas v Texas Christian
Fun stuff. Good enough to get rid of the "M" part of the MNC and shut up playoff proponents who want 8-16 teams involved.

1) It is about 15% better based on a series of computer polls.
2) They are ranked ahead of them.
Re: Saturday College Football..............
Yeah, they are ranked ahead because they played very overrated BYU and Utah teams. I'm not saying Boise is better, but they should be in a playoff conversation.trendon wrote:I am not going to say I am thrilled with their's butMatt90210 wrote:If you're going to include TCU with their schedule, you have to include Boise.trendon wrote:Now, just to add one more thing, if there ws a playoff beyond just a "plus-one", this day would not have been so thrilling.

DUDE!!
TCU's schedule is MORE comparable to Texas's schedule than Boise's is to TCU.
TCU's schedule was slightly better than TExas's most of the season, then Texas's was slight better at the end of the season, and will probably get a little more separation after beating Nebraska.
Boise's schedule is laughable, a 1 game schedule is all it is.
Let's not get crazy here.
Re: Saturday College Football..............
Here's my thing with the Heisman...you can't absolutely disappear in games during the season, you have to be great week in and week out. Ingram, where were you versus Arkansas and Auburn? And the lack of TDs will also hurt him. Today he was huge though and it certainly helped him big time. Same situation with Spiller. Virginia, South Carolina...nothing. Today - beast modeshel311 wrote:Also, today should have wrapped up the Heisman for Ingram, but the 1 last drive(1 play basically) and the lifetime achievement award will give it to Colt.
And realistically, it should go to Suh if it truly goes to the best player in the nation, quite obviously. That much is not even up for debate, LOL.
Gerhart has been there week in and week out. And if Luck doesn't go 22-60 in losses to Oregon State and Cal, you're talking about a player on the PAC 10 champions.
Re: Saturday College Football..............
You can't include Boise unless you are prepared to include Iowa, Ohio State, and Oregon, too. And I am not. Four teams max.Matt90210 wrote:

I got zero problems with it going to Gerhart.

Other than an overrated BYU and Utah, who did TCU play?
3-9 Virginia? lol
8-5 Clemson who represented one of the worst BCS conferences in its title game?
Again, I'm not saying Boise belongs in a title game (they don't and neither does TCU), nor am I saying Boise is better. But if there was a playoff, Boise should be in it.

If we keep an undefeated team out of a playoff, you just ruined a system that was supposed to solve everything. Iowa didn't win their conference so they're out.trendon wrote:You can't include Boise unless you are prepared to include Iowa, Ohio State, and Oregon, too. And I am not.
