He threw 2 interceptions. One on the last play of the game. He was inaccurate when pressured, like most average qb's. So yes, IMO, he hurt his draft stock. Why the fuck are you arguing my opinion? I don't give a shit about yours so quit trying to change mine.

Forgot about his "hail mary heave" to end the game, which meant nothing. Thus, if you claim his first INT wasn't his fault, and his second was a "game is over, just gonna toss it up", then....
I guess Peyton Manning isn't a good QB either, he was inaccurate this past weekend. But keep judging him on part of one game you watched, vs guys who get paid to predict where a QB will be taken (you know, the ones who still have him listed as the first pick in the draft)

I think his draft position will be the same with regard to being the first QB taken. However I wouldn't be surprised if a few teams pull their hats out of the ring.
A lot of the morons that get air time here in Philly are talking about what it would take or what they would be ok with giving up to get Mariota. Then you got these ridiculous callers who think every team in the league is willing to take your garbage. I kid you not I heard a fan and a show host seriously contemplating given up 2 1st, 2 2nds and Foles. Saying shit like if they were Chip Kelly they would offer this or that. Bunch of morons.
If that game doesn't show to these morons that you need a TEAM to win a championship then nothing will.

My thoughts too. Why make a big deal and presser to say, "I'm staying to be the backup and/or platoon QB at Ohio State!"

He is coming back to OSU.
He made a comment in the past that most students come to a school like OSU to play football, but he came to play football and get an education.

Leave after the starts and collect an NFL paycheck, or stay another year, probably leave after 3 starts still... I'd leave.

If you are talking about the QB that was the 3rd stringer for Ohio State that won the National Championship, yes, that is him.

I'm shocked honestly. But he can make a strong case to be starter next year. Come in and win the 3 biggest games of the season. I'd have him as my starter, but I'm also no Urban Meyer.

I am shocked too.
The reason I am shocked, most likely, J.T. Barrett will be our starter.
So Jones will be a backup.
I would think, that his stock is probably as high as it will be right now.
I also understand though as during the live conference, he said that education is more important to him and it will take him further than football will.
He said football is a stepping stone to his education.

Well... He is a babby daddy now, so maybe that changed his views on life.

That is exactly what a co-worker and I just said.
Probably a different outlook.
But if it was me, I would think, I just had a kid, I need to make as much money as I can as quick as I can to help setup my child for the future.
You can always go back to school and get your education.
It would have been a tough decision.
The biggest issue, I think, is the NFL scouts didn't have time to do a proper report for him, so he didn't get the regular ranking and draft pick slot that other players get after playing for most of a season.
