How do you not see the problem here? The comments from small business owners in the area are out there. That is the 'anecdotal' stuff that is referenced in one your links. Do you think the Seattle PD just woke up and decided to recant the statement?

Goodness man, for once just try to open your eyes and look.
- Small business owners have posted on social media what's happened
- Police referenced it
- Obviously... someone said 'back off' and they backed off
- The mayor has been entertaining this non-sense the whole time
- It's not what 'we seem to think.' The small business owners have said it themselves.
- It only takes the slightest bit of common sense to understand that blocking off streets and vandalizing property is bad for business. (Forgot to be PC... expressing your feelings)

I don't have a dog in the fight here... in fact I kind of want the non-sense to continue, because I'm 2,000 miles away. Go ahead, fuck stuff up... I'll enjoy watching. I'm just responding because it's absolutely incredible that you can't (or don't want to) see what is going on.

So as a business owner or resident in the area im being intimidated/ extorted so instead of calling the police, who are responding to calls in the area per multiple reports, I post to social media which the people who are trying to intimidate me will see and one would think bring repercussions from them.

But instead the reality is I'm crying for help and at the mercy of some grand conspiracy of the local government downplaying everything not wanting to protect me and my business.... ooooook

If I lived in a major metropolitan arts and culture district and one day people showed and set up concerts, community garden, and were having movie nights. While I'm still able to come and go as I please and all city services are still available.. No I probably wouldn't care.

I'm sorry fellas but my reality is rural Tennessee town of 8000 so there is literally no realistic scenario where someone would move into my subdivision and try and take it over none. So judging what is happening based on how I would feel if it came to my literal neighborhood is the definition of ignornace.

So all I can do is try to put myself in the shoes of someone living in the Seattle zone right now and based on the reports of what's it like there I can say I don't think it would bother me very much.
