As often happens, I have no clue what led me there, but I was on Shoeless Joe Jackson's wiki page just a few days ago.
Interesting reading

He very well may be a bust and/or never live up to expectations, but I doubt it'll be because he wants the rights to the trademark, "johnny football" as Coug insinuates.
Cam Newton is another example, larger than life persona/attitude, he's doing just fine.
... and every wide receiver or cornerback to get drafted ever. They all think they are gods.

Wiki and the YouTube 'related videos' can be some serious black holes

No doubt. Wiki is worse for me, i'll click on 5 different things within an entry and forget about finishing the original entry I was reading about.

I changed a headlight in my car following a YouTube video. If it can help ME do anything by myself involving a car, it has done its job.

Best/worst part of them shooting the movie here was Jennifer Garner. She almost hit me with her car one day and I'm still kicking myself for stepping back and not just taking the hit. Would have been rich. Stupid reflexes...

I think I could open a mechanic/body shop based on YouTube alone.

The funniest thing about that Draft Day movie is that they've got him as working for the Browns. As if any Browns draft ever had any drama. They're either going to fuck it up or the guy will be a bust.

You Tube taught me how to tie a tie. About five years ago I was dead set on going to a wedding and wearing a tie and realized I was a big boy and my dad wasn't around to tie it. Man what a pain in the ass.
In other news I hate ties more than anything. LITERALLY CAN NOT STAND WEARING THEM.

Wear em everyday.
So used to them that they don't bother me anymore. It's like putting on a shirt everyday it's such repetition.

If I were desean Jackson I'd be suing any media outlet I could for that bull shit story about him being in a gang. Desean Jackson is many things but a gang member?

its crazy what the media can do to a player, slander or legit, and completely ruin them, but face no repercussions if found (like most times) to be incorrect. What also bugs me is I feel this was a ploy by Chip n the Eagles to justify releasing Desean. I understand Chip runs a heavy run offense and spenidng 10/yr on a WR is probably not what Chip wants, but why not just come out and say that and not make it about "some gangs". Furthermore, I'd argue a LOT of NFL players are friends with gangsters

Absolutely they are friends with them but desean is no gangster. Hell I have gang members in my class does that make me a gang member. He should sue any media outlet he can for slander.

Fwiw, I don't think the Eagles ever said anything about gangs.

Marcelus Wiley said probably 30%, just a guess obviously, but still.
Packsy sounds like he's Jackson's best friend.

No I just teach/coach at a school full of them and did my student teaching at one of the worst gang infested schools in all of California so I think I have a good eye for it. I can almost gurantee he's no "gang member." Aaron Hernandez on the other hand......
