All 130 ADs were surveyed, 99% believe we'll have CFB this year, but75% think it'll be delayed, with 61% of those thinking the season will start in Oct/Nov and 14% predicting starting in the Spring.
Re: College Football Thread
Man, most SEC states do not care about this virus right now. There is zero percent chance that the SEC does not play with packed stadiums would be my guess.

Felt so good sitting on the back patio last night with a beer and football related activities on the TV.

Wont happen in 21. They said 22 at the earliest, but probably still won't happen.
It takes more money away from EA to pay the players, etc. so we will see if something ever comes of this.

Which is why they need to negotiate a deal with NCAA to use the logos. The only change they need to make is not allow roster editing. (sucks for us, but at least the game is there)The_Niddler wrote: ↑Tue May 05, 2020 6:38 pm Wont happen in 21. They said 22 at the earliest, but probably still won't happen.

Insane recruiting run the Vols are on right now. 11 commitments in the last 14 days. Two 5 stars and top 15 guys, nine 4 stars, and two high 3 stars who are 4s on a few sites. This is just a crazy run.

It's tough being in the best conference George. Last year Vols were 10th ranked class in the nation and 7th in the SEC. We don't just have Ohio St to out recruitGeorgesGoons wrote: ↑Sun May 10, 2020 3:22 pmI always love the optimism of Vols fans with their recruiting classes.

Re: College Football Thread
Hell, with all these top 10-15 ranked recruiting classes you'd think they could break into the top 25 and stay there.wdoupis wrote: ↑Sun May 10, 2020 4:00 pmIt's tough being in the best conference George. Re: College Football Thread
But if a top 10-15 class puts you in the bottom half of your conference I'd imagine you can see where this is going. If they were in the big 10, ACC, or Big 12 a top 10-15 class is phenomenal but if they were in one of those conferences they also would not recruit as well I'm sure.GeorgesGoons wrote: ↑Sun May 10, 2020 4:02 pmHell, with all these top 10-15 ranked recruiting classes you'd think they could break into the top 25 and stay there.wdoupis wrote: ↑Sun May 10, 2020 4:00 pmIt's tough being in the best conference George. Re: College Football Thread
C'mon now. You know the real reason. Their coaching has sucked for a long time now. Their inability to get the most out of their recruits proves thiswdoupis wrote: ↑Sun May 10, 2020 4:08 pm

Re: College Football Thread
It was no different with Bill Callahan in Nebraska. He had some great recruits but he, and the guys he hired, were not good at developing them

Re: College Football Thread
Oh, Tennessee has had abysmal coaching and that is the main culprit of the last decade. I was just responding to the recruiting part of it. Obviously you need coaches to develop the talent but bringing in the top talent to start is a must.
Re: College Football Thread
Vols open as 6.5 point home dogs against the Gators. Buy the half point and jump on those Vols, I'd sprinkle a little something on the money line too. Vols win outright.
