It was something I read, but there have been like a hundred stories the past few days, I might have gotten some things mixed up. All we know for sure is that Texas has no interest in the SEC.

According to ESPN, the following teams are not going to the SEC.

GT
Miami
FSU
Clemson

Thanks for being our bitch, now don't let the door hit you in the arse on the way out

If we all go our separate ways, I'll miss Nebraska fans. Some of the most passionate and fun fans in the nation to share a tailgate with. I may even slightly miss Okies doing their Boomer Sooner marco-polo thing on Northgate.

I'll even miss laughing at the Tceh fans. Baylor...never had much of an opinion either way.

But as for you Whorns and your massive army of belligerent, stoned-out T-Shirt fans...I hope every last one of you cum-drunk ****s gets AIDS and dies. Not Magic Johnson AIDS that can be treated and managed thanks to a generous donation by Red McCombs, but Eazy E-boom-you're-dead full-blown AIDS.

Yours is the only fanbase in the conference, save for Tceh's, that shows no interest in mutual respect or common values among opposing fans.

I don't remember any of this pride when your fans were leaving Memorial Stadium halfway through the 3rd Quarter in 1994 (which was unfortunate because you missed a really entertaining dance by Ray Mickens on the 50 yardline of your precious field).

We broke three of your head coaches like shotguns before your lawyers and investigators finally convinced the NCAA to make the world fair for you again. Like a possessive wife, you finally caught us cheating, but refused to let us go.

Yet you have somehow managed to avoid any serious NCAA problems in the period since while DeLoss Dodds has turned your athletic department into a thinly-veiled for-profit professional sports and entertainment corporation.

You've wrecked 2 conferences in a row with your greed and arrogance. Hell, most of us Aggies were prepared to go West with you until DeLoss Corleone started issuing ultimatums and spreading very obvious lies through Chip Brown and other TU handpuppets in the media.

Well guess what? It's just not working out. It's not us, it's you. We've considered parting before, but stayed together for the kids. I think it's time to finally make the divorce final. And you can keep the fricking kids. Have fun babysitting Tceh while we go get some strange.

Texas was the rich man's daughter; we stayed with you because we needed the money and, quite frankly, got a little lazy. But we finally got a better offer, just in time for a full-blown midlife crisis and I think it's gonna be fun even if we wreck a couple cars along the way.

For as long as I've followed football, I've had to listen to Whorn fans tell me, without being prompted, that yall don't consider us "real" rivals. OK, we get it. I hope you NEVER have to tell us that again.

Orangeblood.com reports on A&M's possible move to the SEC. As I said before, the national perception is that the SEC is not as strong academically to the Pac-10, which is why texas didn't want to go.

"The dissenters on the regents board are concerned about the academic standards in the SEC and if Texas A&M would be taking a step backward as opposed to aligning with valued research institutions such as Cal and Stanford in the Pac-10. But sources say the regents have agreed not to drop admission standards for student-athletes, regardless of the standards of other SEC schools.

Sources also say A&M feels it would immediately be the top research institution in the SEC as opposed to having to fight for that distinction with Texas in the Big 12."

It has been reported that with a vote of 6-3 in the A&M Board of Regents.....the Aggies will join the SEC! Smart move cause now they can tell recruits in Texas, "so wanna play in the Pac 16 or SEC?"

ESPN is saying right now that Texas is staying in Big12 despite reports that they are going to the pac10. This is crazy and I don't think anyone has a clue what will happen. Would anyone else leave the Big12 if Texas stays? Surely Texas is thinking no one will if they are staying, or the Big12 is going to add some.

So, the Big 12 is now the Big 10 and the Big 10 is now the Big 12. Got it. :|

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/news/story?id=5284375
The departure of Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State to the Pac-10 is imminent, four sources within the Big 12 said Monday.

One source said commissioner Dan Beebe's last-minute plan to save the conference has "zero" chance to succeed. Another source said it is "very unlikely" to succeed.
How is it that ESPN is reporting two different things? Nowhere did I find that Texas is staying put...

Not sure that is very weird. I've had sportscenter on since about 11 am and I just saw on even more information about 10 mins ago. Texas meeting with other 9 schools in Big12 as we speak regarding staying together and working on a TV deal that would make Texas 20-25 million annually I believe they said. But then I see at the bottom it says what you just linked on the ticker, but then follows up on the ticker with Report: (the stuff I've said). Kinda crazy and totally contradicting lol.

This is how:

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/news/story?id=5285680

ESPN is all over the place. I swear when I woke up at 1:30pm, the article you posted was 1st on the ESPN home page. Now, this article is 1st.

These articles are 1 hour and 19 minutes apart, I believe.

Seems like the Big12 would still want to add 2 more if they retained the current 10 or fix their damn name lol.
