Not looking for anything fancy at all, it's for my boys, probably thinking the 28 or 32 inch route. We have a very old 55 inch TV with the huge back ends that roll around. We rarely use it since we don't have cable and it obviously can't hook up to the Rokus or laptop without the HDMI cords.
2 things I look for when I buy refurb deals.

1. Is it refurbished by the manufacturer?
2. Is there a 2 year plan for it. If so, buy it and make sure it covers local repairs.

Also, my parents have the 42 inch. its a solid TV.

What he said. But FYI, for $8.34, you can hook a Roku to it.

It's the Kim Kardashian of TVs.

And to exonerate myself, it's my wife's TV from before we got together. I ain't taking any responsibility for the purchase of that thing.

#1 - Any outrageous "Cyber Bullshit" deals for today?

#2 - The barcodes at Target and Wal-Mart wouldn't scan on the phone, saying it is a dummy barcode. And I could not find the model numbers ANYWHERE on the TV's and other items so I could Google. What exactly is the deal with these TV's? Are they throttled down or something?

Been trying to find a super deal on a laptop and/or computer since last week, and I either can't find one or it comes and goes so quick that I miss it.

That's the thing; don't know.

I was at those places on Friday and I just found it very suspicious that the model numbers would be hidden and the bar codes shown would not scan.

The Wal*Mart tv deal for the Vizio 65" did change its model number. It's a D650i. They did change this for Wal*Mart. It's actually the E650i. They only difference between the two was the D model had one less HDMI port.

Are we now questioning the viability of WalMart as indeed being a "Mart"?

shel, you can get new laptops for around $300 to $400 just about any time and it will suffice for most of the users out there.

I only use OOTP and the internet, so I prefer the $200 ish range.

Not sure if they are any good but thought the price was right if someone needed one for the office or a kids room.

Can anyone give me info on an HP Pavillion G6 laptop?

I have 1 at my desk at work right now, this guy I work with, reputable guy, is offering me a used one for $200. I don't know how to check, but he says it has 3GB RAM, 2.3 ghz processor, and a 300 GB hard drive.

I have no clue what the going rate on these are to know if it's a good deal.

I'm sure it's more than likely a no go, but if this were randomly some $1000 laptop, it may be worth it.

You need to find out what type of processor it is. Unless that thing has an i-5 or i-7, $200 would get you the same type of laptop for pretty much brand new this time of the year. 300gb HDD is small compared to what most laptops have now, and 3 GB Ram is low too.

Also need to know how many USB ports it has, what type (2.0 or 3.0), screen size, etc
