Just got back in town from our little getaway. There has been protests/looting/rioting here in Omaha for 3 days. Protestor last night was shot and killed by a business owner, he has been arrested though. Mayor has put our city on a 72 hour curfew from 8pm to 6am.

Mayor said a lot of the arrests were from out of city people. One was arrested with a molotov cocktail.

The fact that Trump and Biden are the 2 main Presidential candidates just show how badly politicians have failed us and American citizens as a whole have failed their own country.




Anyway, here's a dumb quote from Joe Biden:

Joe Biden on Monday suggested that police forces could train officers to shoot attackers in the legs in order to reduce potential fatalities.

There is “the idea that instead of standing there and teaching a cop when there’s an unarmed person, coming at him with a knife or something, to shoot him in the leg instead of in the heart,” Biden said. “There’s a lot of different things [policies] that can change.”

Shooting someone in the thigh is a way worse way to die.

AD here just announced that the guy that did the shooting would not be charged with murder/manslaughter. Multiple video's show there was an escalation. Owners dad (68 years old) pushed someone away from the business (not violently enough to push them to the ground), he was immediately charged by a younger person from 10-20 feet away and floored him to the ground. The owner, starts to back up to his dad and shows he has a gun. A minute or so later he was tackled by 2 protestors and they went to hit him. He pulls out his gun and fires 2 shots, both missing, and the 2 guys get off of him and back off. The young man that was killed jumped on his back and started to choke him and 10 or so seconds into it he fires one shot over his shoulder into the guys clavicle and he ends up dying. He was arrested but it was announced it was justifiable from all the video they had and witness testimony that it was self defense. He probably will still be charged for concealed carry, which expired recently.

Now with the announcement that the owner will not be charged stores are closing at 1pm downtown, where the shooting happened. All Walmarts are closed at 2pm today here in Omaha. And the AD/Mayor are urging other businesses to close up shop before the 8pm curfew. We've already seen posts saying for the protests/rioting to take it out west (west omaha) where the police are not at. Wife's best friends brother in law is a homicide detective and hasn't worked the streets in over a decade was called in to be a street beat cop today

You have CNN calling him a dictator and that he is at war with America. They forgot that the curfew started 7 minutes ago, using flash bangs to disperse would be normal.

Not that we should care what Emily Ratajkowski says on this, but this is pretty funny.

Less than 24 hours later, today on Twitter:

“Today was depressing in Santa Monica. 100s of protestors peacefully kneeled & chanted in front of dozens of police cars & national guard vehicles. 2 blocks away young kids were looting the promenade and there were no cops anywhere.”

I don't know where the cliche that woman are indecisive ever came from!

Only matters when it happens in your backyard.

you know cops killed a black protester in Louisville right? Get this.. the man was known for giving cops free food and was peaceful and they shot him in the back.

Pssstt, that "Dead cops - 0" number is wrong.

Not to mention multiple other non-cops that have been killed during this, easily that number is greater than 2 if you want to be keeping score like you seem to want to do.
