In a news conference on Thursday, Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman said that despite the horrific video of George Floyd’s death, “there is other evidence that does not support a criminal charge” against the police officer involved. Attorney Freeman is investigating the death of Floyd, a Black man who died when he was pinned to the ground by a Minneapolis police officer. His office later issued a clarification, saying “it is critical to review all the evidence” to adequately prepare for trial.

So either those in Minnesota don't care nearly as much as those who live out of state.

Or...the vast majority of people protesting could give 2 shits about the situation and are just in it for the ability to go do some looting and burn some shit.

I never really believed the protest conspiracy theories before now but based on the quotes from the Mayor and Governor, it's logical to think BLM/ANTIFA/white nationalists are running a scam on us all right now.

I'm certainly not fully on board with some of his views, but he'd have a better shot at getting my vote than anything on the left right now. To be totally honest, I know the post that Nick made was far fetched, but maybe it takes someone like this, that can capture the mostly silent majority, that really is a moderate mix. He's not out to ban guns. He's talked openly about the difference between AR15 violence and pistols. While he has a soft spot for Bernie, he also knows that capitalism is the backbone of the country.

The mayor walked back that statement. After a reporter looked at the arrest records turned out most were from the area and not out of state. Not that it makes the looting ok or anything just that it's not some grand conspiracy....
