again, back to my original point.

where he goes in the draft or whether he gets drafted at all isn't really relative, imo.

there were backup d linemen from UConn who got invites to teams training camps. Sam wash the DPOY in the fucking SEC... whether he's a 3rd, a 7th, whatever... i'm not smart enough to know that. i'm smart enough to know he's going to be on a roster during someones camp. if he's not we have real big issues in the league... i'm an optimist, i don't think we have issues that big across that wide of a spectrum of the entire league. so whether he's a 4th or he's an undrafted invite, he's going to bring the circus somewhere.

in any type of big business, you live for arbitrage. all you're searching for as a manager (whether a money manager or a gm in the nfl or anything) is to get value. if he's a 5th rd talent and someone can bring him in undrafted, he'll be somewhere.

with all that said... at some point teams will have to weigh the pros and cons of whether he's 4th rd talent if they can afford to let him slide to the 7th, my guess is some teams won't be willing to let that type of value slide

if he does go undrafted and he does go unsigned after the draft, i'd be shocked and extremely disappointed. i don't really care about much outside of equality when it comes to social issues... so this is something i'll be interested to see play out.

nick is making it sound like he should be the 1st overall pick and teams are simply cutting their noses off to spite their face

Exactly, I think a majority of teams will lower his stock cause of the circus that will come with having him around. It could be a distraction, and unless you have the proper leadership in the lockerroom, you can't afford to draft him. SOMEONE in the NFL will take him though, but when you read about him, he isn't an every down DE in the league right now, and most think he wont be.

Lets have this talk again after the combine.

So it looks like Ray Rice either knocked his chick out or she is the drunkest/roofied girl that was up in the club.

So apparently the Browns want to trade for Jim Harbaugh? It seems incredibly stupid to trade players for coaches, even if it is the Browns.

I'll just step back and wait for the inevitable "They should throw Seeit in the trade too" comment.

The only other time I remember a coach being traded was Gruden

Yeah, that worked but it's not like the Browns are the right coach away from getting over the top.

A man as big as Clowney shouldnt be able to run that fast. He ran a 4.47 and a 4.48

This was faster than 56 running backs and wide receivers who had already ran.

That slow white guy is Johnny Football

Holy cow, that kid can move! He should be a TE!

I actually wonder where the NFL will put him, will he be LB/DE like Seattle does with Clemons and Irvin. That kid looks like a monster.

They already have Chris Long too, so aren't they like the only team at the top who don't need a DE?

quinn finished 2nd in sacks.. why would we want him at DT?

Long/Clowney (rotate) - Brockers - Langford - Quinn

3rd down passing downs

Clowney - Long - Brockers - Quinn

I dunno if he could do it. He seems like a bull rush type end so I could def see him kicking inside on passing downs. Long is also 28, and in the football world that isnt exactly young. I wouldnt want the Rams to draft any other DE but Clowney just cause I think Clowney-Quinn is unstoppable. Youre stuck double teaming both which leaves 1 on 1 for both DTs and forces someone to remain in and block. ADD in Gregg Williams and his blitz happy system. jesussss

people keep saying Ol for the Rams. Jeff Fisher is his entire career has never drafted OL in the 1st round ever. We spent a 1st last yr and a 2nd/4th the yr before on WRs so I cant see us taking Watkins #2.

We have the 2/13 pick. I could see BPA at 2 or trade down, and I could see a safety like Haha Clinton Dix at 13.
