So Canada does not operate as a free market and has set wages that aren't defined by the market or supply/demand, is that what you're telling me?

I don't care anything about unions, I'm just laughing at you thinking getting paid what you're worth is a standard, set amount and not what the free market decides your worth is.

My wife is an oral chemo nurse navigator which means she doesn’t do bedside care but coordinates oral chemo courses for cancer patients. But her hospital is so overwhelmed with Covid admissions right now that she’s been picking up extra four and eight hour shifts as a bedside nurse. There are no available beds in her hospital right now. They went through this back in September and October and now this latest flare up has them back at it again. She said that her Covid patients range in age from early 30s to the elderly but they are almost always unvaccinated. On a positive note for our family they are paying nurses $50 an hour to pick up shifts with a $400 bonus for every eight hours worked.

More than 1,000 children have died from COVID-19 since the pandemic began. Meanwhile, tens of thousands of children have been hospitalized in the last few months alone.

Thanks MSNBC for the scare tactic. Do you know how many deaths were reported among children or how many cases are represented by children?
From the UNICEF website, of the 3.4M deaths worldwide only 0.4% are in the 0-19 year old age group.

Here is another good site to read about child cases

Vaccination isn't the only answer. The Government needs to get more Monoclonal Antibody Infusions to all the States, and not limit them based on race like NYC is doing. The Government also needs to start looking at other therapeutics rather than thinking the vaccine and unlimited booster shots as the answer.

Omicron much weaker coronavirus variant than Delta
Probably belongs in the Not-so thread. Glad the CDC and Walensky were able to catch up to 80% of the world on this one.

Decided to go to his IG that he mentioned at the end... that fella is something else. I'm not all about wasting out officials time, lord knows they do enough of that on their own, but this was pretty funny...

Our local library has them for free. Get them, take the test at home, call a number to report your results.

This extreme fever and nausea better be apart of Covid and not just a regular cold or I’m gonna be so pissed off.

I'm guessing my son had the new variant as his symptoms did not match mine. We thought he had strep because his throat was raw and he couldn't stop coughing. He had a slight fever for a couple of days and never lost his taste or smell and was flu'ish for a couple of days as well.
