I love the idea that we know we gave benefits to players, but ya know, they gave them to regular students too, so we good!!

Player ruled ineligible to play in 2017-2018 because...he went to class.

http://www.newsobserver.com/sports/coll ... 77026.html

The NCAA has to be the dumbest organization I've ever seen.
Braxton Beverly never imagined going to class could get him in trouble with the NCAA.

But after starting classes at Ohio State in May and transferring to N.C. State in July, the freshman guard will have to sit out the upcoming college basketball season.

Beverly and N.C. State had hoped he would be able to play right away after the unusual circumstances led to his departure from Ohio State. Buckeyes coach Thad Matta resigned on June 5.

Beverly, rated a three-star prospect by 247 Sports, had already started classes at Ohio State at that point. Ohio State hired new coach Chris Holtmann four days later. Holtmann gave Beverly his release from his commitment.

By going to class, Beverly triggered NCAA undergraduate transfer rules. If he hadn’t started classes, like freshman guard Lavar Batts – who had originally committed to VCU – Beverly would not have had any issues with the NCAA.

NCAA is dumb!

I guess the UCLA hoops team is in China. LiAngelo Ball and a couple of other players were arrested for shoplifting.

That's very un-baller like.

Heard about this just now, can't wait to see what the media can drum up and all the interviews Mr Ball will get after this nonsense.

I don't see why UCLA would not just toss his ass from school and be done with the whole circus.

So I had a 4 team parlay for 500 bucks to pay 5k. First 3 were winners by playing Seahawks 2nd half, Vols yesterday, and 2nd half over in T-Wolves/Magic...... decide to close it today on Vols +8.5 vs Nova. TN up 12 at the half and falls apart. They get down 15 and fight back to be down 3 with 50 seconds left. After some missed shots and fouls game is over as TN down 7 with 10 seconds left and the ball. They kinda just sloppily dribble up and throw a bad pass and Nova guy steals it and instead of pull up and dribble it out goes all JR Smith on me and dunks it home, Vols lose by 9....... happy thanksgiving everyone

I'd love to see video of this...

So #25 Bama played #14 Minnesota today. I guess there was a fight/skirmish, and the entire Bama bench left the bench and was ejected. Then they had a foul out and an injury.

They played the final 10:41 of the game with 3 players on the court...and outscored Minnesota 30-22 in that time.

1 hour and 43 minutes into that video is about when the "fight" starts.
It was 2 players tangled up but no punches were thrown that I could see.
1:54:15 is when the Bama player fouls out with 11:37 left in the game. Bama is down 61-52
2:00:00 with 11 minutes left, Bama's Petty is injured.
2:16:27 with 3:19 left in the game, it is Minnesota up 83-73.
2:43 left and it is a 5 point game.
1:39 left and it is a 3 point game.
Bama loses 89-84.
As shel stated, that was amazing!

One of the most entertaining college hoops games I have ever seen with that Bama deal. That one guy has a future in 3 on 3 hoops. Loved the strategy Bama used too with that soft zone. That was one of the coolest things I have ever watched outscoring a team down 2 guys on the floor.
