If you want but the manual specifically says to many players can/will slow player development. However my team was computer run for a few seasons before I took over. The computer signed a massive amount of talentless, old, low work ethic players. I have no need for those guys in the system. I was also way over the amount of total players allowed in a system, so it was time to take out the trash especially with the next draft upcoming.jsence2 wrote:Uuaww wrote:old useless players taking PT from young guys hinders growth.jsence2 wrote:BigRy wrote:On a related note to the rostering questions, I am in the process of weeding out my huge minor league system. What does that mean?
Can't you just override this by replacing them on the depth chart for the minor league team?

Gotcha. So even though I've got only like 3 guys in my Short-A team, I shouldn't rush to fill it w scrubs who don't work hard?

S16-21: Washington 9-4, 10-3, 8-5, 9-4, 7-6, 6-7
S22: Ohio 8-5
S23: ECU 12-2
S24-26: Kentucky 8-5, 5-7, 5-7

Did you figure it out? My guess would be you have some sort of custom filter going.

NEXT SIM
Fri, Jul 6: Week 6 [Game Ending: 5/14]
Short Season A league begins this week.
NOTES
- If you don't receive an email, let me know. I may have to reenter your email.
- StatsLab is broken until I have the time to fix it. I broke it in my deletefest the other day. Website will be uploaded about an hour after you read this.
- I accidentally violated a rule of mine. I usually set my lineup and then download the updates but I did it in reverse tonight. This is big because then I can see exactly who my opponents are pitching against me plus, if I had to process any trades or what not, I can see your lineups. It provides a competitive advantage. As such, here is my planned rotation for next sim:
Toronto: Washington, Baker, Ocampo
Louisville: Siwazuri, Ayala, Washington
- LOLCats, I forgot to retire Barnett. I just did it.
ROSTER NOTES
- Sioux City: Selleca refuses to be demoted. He is on rookie ball; put him on active roster or release him.
- Other teams from last time: two teams are in similar situations from two or three sims ago. Please handle the situation.
SIM NOTES
- Interesting start to the season for New York's catchers. One is batting .500 in 36 at-bats (8-for-9 vs lefties) and the other one is batting .382 (.414 vs righties)
- Chicago's winning streak ends at twelve.
- New England getting back to where the Spitters used to be.
- The pitching has been great this season. Both leagues have ERAs at their lowest since 2012.
- Miami's Bill O'Higgins continues to rake.
- Kyle Edgar with a huge game-winning home run in the bottom of the 16th!
- And we have the longest game ever and maybe the longest 1-0 we'll ever see in the NDL (and, MLB, maybe?) Twenty goddamn innings before Seattle beat the Sandstorm 1-0. Six records were either tied or broken in the game, including Kentaro Konishi who managed to walk six fucking times. The Cougars left 40 men on base, which is almost assuredly a baseball record on Earth.
- Carolina's undefeated pitcher du jour is Howard Brewer this time.
- April's Players of the Month:
1B Jaime Cruz of the Hartford Whalers honored: Wins the NDL AL Batter of the Month Award.
3B Pat Johnson of the Albany Wild Ones honored: Wins the NDL PL Batter of the Month Award.
SP Lou Bartlett of the Miami Marlins honored: Wins the NDL AL Pitcher of the Month Award.
SP Tom Brown of the NorCal Bombers honored: Wins the NDL PL Pitcher of the Month Award.
SS Chris Ford of the Port Orange Hawks honored: Wins the NDL AL Rookie of the Month Award.
SS Mike Blanton of the SoCal Commandos honored: Wins the NDL PL Rookie of the Month Award.

Re: 2018 Regular Season
Brewer is a product oif the Warriors system. I just breed amazing pitchers, then I promptly trade them away
Re: 2018 Regular Season
honestly this is making the game unenjoyable. I have 6 players on my ML squad on the DL and 2 others injured for a few days. This is ridiculous.
Re: 2018 Regular Season
NM, it finally came through. I went 3-4.
My OF/DH Sakuma is on a 20 game hitting streak; in fact, he has only failed to get a hit in two of the games he has played in so far this season (over 30 games).
Meanwhile Oike cannot catch a break. Falls to 1-4 (worst record on staff) as he has had two terrific outings blown by the bullpen, and had another where he lost a 2-1 pitchers' duel where he only gave up one earned. Starting to wonder if my defense is hurting me and/or if I should move him down to #2 in the lineup so he can start getting some wins against lesser pitchers. He's getting next to no run support.

I am downloading the file now and can't wait to see who the fuck pitched! ERA's are dropping!- And we have the longest game ever and maybe the longest 1-0 we'll ever see in the NDL (and, MLB, maybe?) Twenty goddamn innings before Seattle beat the Sandstorm 1-0. Six records were either tied or broken in the game, including Kentaro Konishi who managed to walk six fucking times. Add to it, Seattle went 4-2 this sim. two winning sims in a row. Bowden made an impression batting .571 for the week. Only 7 at-bats, but that's okay.

Re: 2018 Regular Season
hey trendon I have a Q. while I was CPU less my manager...released my 3 million dollar OF.... and I didnt want that. Is it possible to put him back on my team?? (Jarred Ballard). If not its cool, iunno why the fuck my idiotic manager would fucking do that. ugh
Re: 2018 Regular Season
So that 20 inning game saw my starter Matt Lake that can't buy a win or run support pitch 9 scoreless innings and 6 K's. My relief pitcher Jon Cluett that I got off the waivers and is a rule 5 pick went 3 or 4 innings and struck out 7 batters. Offensively, my team walked 13 times in the game and Trendon mentioned that Konishi that is batting like .190 or something like that walks 6 times. 40 runners LOB compared to 23 from Chicago. Funny because my manager made many changes, pinch hit and made defensive changes and Chicago basically stayed with the same lineup throughout. I think made one offensive change. I expected more pitchers to have pitched, but not so. Then look back and a week earlier Seattle lost 3-1 to Port Orange in a 12 inning game.
