we talked about that when you were doing it.
True story. You were on me for my plans.
Riccio discussing strategy?

So the international closing pitcher that my scout found for us, out 8-9 months with Torn UCL (Tommy John surgery)
He is only 18 years old.

My #3 overall pick in 2016 had the same exact injury 4 starts into rookie ball right after being drafted. I forgot exactly, but he was 60+ potential, looked to be solid.
He never even sniffed the bigs and currently has a 5 control rating.

Yeah, Jose Lima, 20 of 70.
Nothing fantastic, but should have been pretty decent.
Had potential for 80 stuff, 64 movement and 65 control...we will see how it all turns out for him.

Rough sim for the Whalers. 3-3, drop back behind New England, but still within 2 1/2 of Toronto at the 3rd wildcard, 4 back from Philly in the #1 spot.
Dropped the finale to Albany 10-7 as Collier got roughed up.
Drop 2 of 3 to New England by a combined score of 31-25. Everybody got roughed up.
Bounced back taking the first two against Loouisville. Langman and White both pitched well.
Offensively, Cruz turns 40 on Monday's sim, continues to bash. Jorge Ramos who turns 25 the same day as Cruz turns 40, topped 100 RBi's for his fourth consecutive season. Wu takes over batting lead from slumping Alvarez and moves into tie with Ruiz for RBI lead. I called up Jose Cruz to play his former team, he went 2 for 4 with an RBI, but didn't homer in his one game played.
Pitching, Morrissey had a bad week. But is still having a special year. 11-2 with a 1.90era and 173 K's in 137 innings of work. Wang Xu recorded his team record 40th save. Starters are still in shambles

That's every season for Morrissey.

THIS is what I expected when Ruiz went down.....1-5 sim this week, after the 6-1 the first week he went down. To show how good of a year he was having, he's been out two weeks....and he's just now been tied for the AL lead in RBI.
Hayden's hitting .200 this month, Gill isn't hitting, Flores isn't getting on base; all my bats have gone cold except McMinn and it's the worst possible time. Dropped to 1/2 game out of the final Wild Card spot, hopefully we can hold on just long enough. Could really use the cash that comes with the playoffs, even if it's just a sweep in the first round.
W series left vs Detroit, Philly, Ohio, New England, Port Orange, and Ohio....we essentially control our own fate at this point. That fate looks bleak, however, with us holding a losing record vs those teams as a whole this season. Yaaaaaaay.....

I'm not big into Minor League stuff, but i'm pretty sure my AA team just ended Connecticut's run as champions.
