Dems and Republicans can't decide over a stimulus plans to send those checks to Americans, and none of it has to do with the checks. They're fighting over the items that have nothing to do with COVID that each side is trying to place in the bills to get these things they want passed.
And yet, the overwhelming majority of Americans(and posters in here) are going to go out in November and vote for a Democrat or Republican, essentially supporting this behavior.
There would have to be a serious movement to get something other than a D or R in the office. I just don't see that happening in our lifetime. I'd just love to see a term limit on both the house and senate to get new innovative ideas in there (at least I would hope that would happen over time).

Because everyone has your mindset.

I'd love to know more on why they are trying to get this slid in there. And it's bipartisan

Or everyone doesn't want to potentially waste their vote. That is why I said it would have to be a huge movement to get most on board

What do you mean by "or"? That's the exact mindset I was talking about.

My "or" was a retort to your argument. It is a wasted vote without a huge movement. One party will get their votes taken away from them for the 3rd party. This year it may be democrats, in 4 years it may be republicans. And neither voting block wants to lose so they will never vote 3rd party

Only read about a paragraph or so... but I'll just assume that Adam Schiff is highly involved and already has some anonymous sources.

While I agree it should be reviewed regardless of it is was a perfect response or the worst, but right now doesnt seem like the best time to allocate resources to that.

Plus, it's not even over so it's pointless to start a review now, just wait til it's over.
I do find it odd that there's legislation needed to conduct a review of the response though. That should be pretty standard.

So are they going to postpone the election from COVID?

Won't matter, the same guy will be president in February or June of next year.

"We will need to delay the work of the commission until the crisis has abated to ensure that it does not interfere with the agencies that are leading the response. But that should not prevent us from beginning to identify where we got it wrong and how we can be prepared for the next pandemic," Schiff told the Post.

So he says we NEED to delay until the crisis is abated, but that need should not prevent us from starting before the crisis is abated?
Umm...what?

Pretty crazy that one side has Trump going as a likely 2 term President...and the other side is miraculously in even worse shape than the side Trump is on

Just ugly state of leaders right now in this country.
We need some blue potential prospects coming up through the ranks.
The political die hards here may know some names from both parties or independents showing growth.
