This title forever will have an asterisk. Cam Newton shouldn't have been playing.
Yeah cause no other CFB players who have won a title have been paid.
You think Kentucky doesnt pay for any of those basketball players?

With all the people looking into it... you would think they would have found the smoking gun. The NCAA ruled him eligible to play, so until they come up with a history of a transaction or something let it go.
As far as on the field, they were the best team this year. So until someone can prove he did something wrong, congrats to him and Auburn.

asterisk will be confirmed within two years after the NCAA finds that there was some foul play a brew. Book it!

Really?! Are you just in the mood to have him post a novel?
I saw that some of the 3D TV prices have come down. I just hate to make a plunge into something like that which is untested and dont know if its going to be the wave of the future or just a fad. Does look awesome though.
Sloppy game yet it had its entertaining parts. Oregon has to be kicking themselves wondering "what if" on so many plays.

I wanted Oregon to win but I'm fine with Auburn winning. Its kind of nice to have someone who's not one of the usual suspects win.

Yea, I was pulling for Oregon but knowing that Judd and Spydie are smiling ear to ear today makes me a happy fella.

As far as some of you commenting on the Oregon running play...........it wasn't that it was there, but Thomas is supposed to read the damn 3 technique and he kept handing it off when he shoulda kept and kept when he shoulda handed it off. Was driving me nuts. Like someone said on here though, Thomas kinda looked like a panicky bitch last night. I mean that opening option play hyou could tell the nerves were gonna get to him.
By the way at the end of the game why couldn't someone pull that damn confetti off Cams face, shit was driving me nuts.

I know its early but Oklahoma has to be the favorite next season to go the distance right? Don't they return every damn player but Demarco Murray?
Edit: HS conference Veni? At least when the Pac-10 shows up to the title game they give their opponents a game.

If Auburn's defense shut them down like that then LSU is absolutely going to destroy them.

both offenses were their own worst enemy. Not sure why Oregon did not stretch the field more... Auburn has been giving up chunks through the air all season... Auburn's offense started to find rhythm running, but 36 days or whatever really killed both teams offensive flow. Had both teams played that poorly on offense (during the entire season) the NC game would have been Stanford vs TCU...
I'll say again Chip Kelly's play card had three plays on it...

Just got back from Glendale and while it still hurts I am really proud of the team and it's ability to keep playing. We could have easily folded at the end but instead got the TD and the 2 point conversion to tie.
Could we have won, Yes but we made too many mistakes. The key mistakes were the procedure penalty that negated the shovel pass that got us out of the end zone. The second was not realizing Dyer wasn't down and that play set up the game winning field goal.
However, despite all of this I wouldn't trade this experience for anything. One of these teams was going to lose and unfortunately it was the Ducks but I will still continue to support them. They showed true character and heart.
GO DUCKS

I never ever bought into the concept of flow or momentum. Anybody else have any thoughts on that?
As for stretching the field, the only thing I had said was that Auburn's defensive front was crapping on Oregon's and I couldn't figure out why there weren't more rollouts ... which they went to later on. I am not sure if they had the protection to go deep.
