I have heard this as well. Also coming from OSU alums who have the connections in Columbus.

One of the UAB kids is going to IU. It's Marqui Hawkins. He was originally a 4 star recruit and went to Florida out of high school. He transferred to UAB when Florida moved him to safety. He redshirted this last year at UAB and is immediately eligible at IU. His teammate, Jordan Howard who ran for 1600 yards last season is still in play for IU.

Oregon shouldn't be interested in him. Their QB's can usually throw

Anyone watching Coastal Carolina?

if you don't know the story about the coach, go look it up. the coach is Joe Moglia who used to be the CEO of TD Ameritrade. super successful wall st guy.

he does a lot of the stuff like Trendon, Shel and I talk about with unbalanced lines, long vertical passes, spreading out teams, going for 2, onside kicks, etc etc.

this is the first time i've watched them play, but its pretty fun to watch as he's obviously a stats dork with his background.

there were even rumors he might be in play for the Jets job, highly doubt it but its pretty cool. cause like Trendon always points out, these coaches coach like pussies cause they are fearful of job security when they do unorthodox things, this dude probably donates his entire salary to charity (just making that up) so he isn't too concerned with job security.

I idolize this guy and I was talking to someone once who said the exact thing you said: he likely doesn't care about money (although, I didn't know WHY he was wealthy until you just posted this). He is my hero and I've been keeping tabs on him and CCU since he left Nebraska.

he just punted.

he isn't as wild and unorthodox as i think we feel some guys should be, but he certainly takes more chances than most do

They won't get the ball back. It is like Gruden and the Redskins two weeks ago.

In my reading over the years, I believe in three core elements of offensive football.

1. The first three quarters are nothing more than point-maximization games. You got for the MOST points possible at all times; touchdowns over field goals when applicable and ALWAYS go for two.

2. You make the decision to go for it on fourth down a lot before the game/season/career. It is not an individual decision. When you get into the mode of doing it, you will change the football game (i.e. 3rd-and-seven is no longer only a passing down)

3. The better the other team's offense, the more aggressive you get. Great offenses don't give a shit if they start the drive at their own 25 or at midfield. Punt to shitty offenses.

i'm with ya, no arguments here.

the better (Defined by positive expectancy) you are at anything the more aggressive you should be.

The U Part 2 is certainly not The U Part 1.

Pretty boring so far.

Haven't watched it yet but one of things where you shouldn't make a sequel.
The first one was brilliant and the best selling, most popular 30 for 30 I believe ESPN said.
