Yeah... had someone do that to me 2 seasons ago. Now I just assume the player wants 150% of current. This ranks right up there with the "yeah, my scout shows him at 72 pot, your scout must suck, he only shows him at 53."

Trendon should have had bear sign him then trade him. I'm sure he was giving the discount to stay. In chi town is he loyal? If so trading him might affect his want to be on another team. I dunno. Sure don't think Bear was being slick.
I would have loved the bonus fan interest for signing him. I think he is at $14.7M or close to $15M, what is he asking for?

My exacts may be slightly off, but I may have pulled off one of the biggest firesales in OOTP history.

i went from around a $140mil payroll to $40mil, going from 4th highest in the league to 3rd lowest.

I also went from around the 25th best minor league system to 3rd.

Ok, I'm done patting myself on the back now. Carry on.

If the PL doesn't have a winning team for the final Wild Card spot, I think we should give it to an AL team. It's only fair.

I'll never understand the managerial AI of this game. I'm looking back at one of my game logs, game I won over Nick 4-3...

9th inning, I get a leadoff single, then Hayden doubles. McMinn hits a sac fly to drive in Cox and move Hayden to 3rd, making the score 3-2 Toronto. So tying run is on third, and I have MVP candidate Ramon Ruiz coming up.

Ruiz will be facing a righty. He's hitting .338/.431/.659 vs RHP with 28 HR and 82 RBI. So, my manager does what any intelligent manager would do in this situation.....

.....he pinch hits for him with a bench OF hitting .233/.327/.419 vs RHP.

Which of course has to make Nick even more sick to know that the guy hits a 2-run homer  That said, what my manager did makes absolutely no fucking sense and my win was pure dumb luck.

Dallas, where winning playoff games isn't part of your past...or future. I hear GM Krentsa and GM Jerry Jones spend many of long nights hanging out and drinking wondering if they'll ever win another playoff game.
