It was an 8. We needed this match for World Cup prep.

I'm done with Jurgen. As Bob Ley said tonight, in most nations that takes soccer more seriously, this would have been his final match. We are regressing and we have no system. More concerning is the fact that our U-23 team (remember, Jurgen's supposed to be developing our youth system) couldn't beat Honduras today in Olympic qualifying.
Who do you want? Who can we realistically get?

Someone who has a system and is willing to let the younger guys play together and grow, even if they lose.

I'd be quite happy with Sporting KC's manager, he knows tactics and he knows how to develop talent.

Gooners thrash Swansea to remain joint top with City while United draw 0-0 with Palace and Chelsea get stomped 3-1 by Liverpool. Life is good.

Side note: Diego Costa kicked a Liverpool player while down and deserved a straight red and once he realized it was Martin Srktel and that he was going to get his ass beat, his face was priceless

All Costa had to do was slap him. We all know that Skrtel can't defend anything

If you go back to the start of April, they're top of the table still. They've got a great system. Mahrez has been phenomenal, Vardy has been a powerhouse (tied Ruud van Nistelrooy's BPL record of 10 straight matches with a goal today), Albrighton has been a monster on the wing, and Claudio Ranieri has them firing on all cylinders.

Plus, the dude bribes the team with pizza if they win and keep a clean sheet. That's a master motivator right there!

Down 2-1 they sub off Mata and Schweinsteiger (sp) and bring in Carrick and Powell... Has to be one of the worst benches ever fielded by United. Simply no striking or attacking options

Triple post but what a game this has tuned out to be... Wolfsburg concede an own goal in the 80th to allow United to go level but two minutes later again Naldo scores his second to dash Uniteds hopes again

United had a ton of chances but Wolfsburg had some pretty crazy defending... But United also displayed an alarming lack of defensive composure. Still happy by my Gunners may be joining them soon :(

That's what happens when you don't have (due to injury)

Luke Shaw
Antonio Valencia
Morgan Schneiderlin
Marcus Rojo
Ander Herrera
Paddy McNair
Wayne Roo.....eh, nm, we're better off without him

We had to call up youth players just to HAVE a full bench, and had an injured McNair with them. When we needed a goal late, we brought on a Nick Powell who hasn't been worth a damn for years.

That said, LVG screwed this up by not winning matches earlier when we needed to. I'm done w him.

He saved us from no Champions League

And now we're a team that gets 0-0 draws at home every week because he spent a ton of money on players and either benches them or plays them out of position, while forcing Rooney into the Starting XI when he should be riding the pine pony.

Chelsea would take some of those 0-0 draws if you don't want them

LVG will be fine, he still needs to acquire his players but the big thing right now is they lack quality depth

LvG won't be here much longer. This was a 3 season max job. We're in year 2. Everyone knew this from the start.

I'm fine with what he's done so far and I'll live with 0-0 draws for now. He's put the team on the right path in terms of young talent, which is exactly what his goal was. We needed him to A.) get us into Champion's League and B.) turnover the roster. He got us back in 1 season and I'd like to think we're on the path to get there again and Man U is still a threat to win the league this year. I'll take that, regardless of the method. As for young talent, we have some of the best young players at their positions in Shaw, Memphis and Martial. While ADM was a disaster, that was as much on him as it was LvG. While I don't like seeing guys play out of position (Blind, Memphis, Rooney, etc), I can offset that that dislike with the fact that he's accomplishing what needed to be done.

I believe the club is on the right path and when the next manager comes in, we're going to be set for a great 4-6 year run.

Arsenal are through via a 3-0 win away at Olympiakos... Something like 18th straight round of 16 appearance but only like 5 knockout stage victories
