Who would have thought Concacaf could make African soccer look clean?

Kind of glad we lost, because if something like what happened in the last 2 mexico games happened against us in the Final I'd have been beyond pissed. At least it's sparing me that anger.

I saw someone shared an article on FB, looks like Howard is ready to come back.

1) Jamaica's GK is pretty good, he's the keeper for Pittsburgh in the USL. We've faced him twice, his defense has let him down and all three of our goals against him took something special to beat him. I don't think he'll be in the USL after this season.

2) CONCACAF couldn't have been less obvious if they'd walked up to Geiger and handed him a check. Heck, before the end of the match, the Mexican players were passing him the ball (not a joke, there are Vines of it). CONCACAF wanted a USA-Mexico final and we screwed it up. And they couldn't be happier, because when they hand Mexico the win this weekend, it will set up a playoff between USA and Mexico in October (Columbus, dare I hope?!) for the Confederations Cup spot.

3) Pick a damn lineup/system and stick with it, Jurgen!

Wasn't our goal last night on him? Seemed like he could have caught it or deflected it out farther, but he just let it dribble right in front of him. For the 1st shot that was taken, I don't think it took a very valiant effort to get the goal, just a couple of rebounded shots.

Well damn, had I known this, I wouldn't have bothered to watch last night lol. I'm confused, so the winner of the Gold Cup doesn't get in? Why would we play them for that spot if they've won the Gold Cup?

Might be the only reason I'll miss being in Ohio

It's because we won the last gold cup. So we have a win, they have a win (presumably) so there's a tie. Playoff for the spot.

1) I meant our as in Louisville City. We had to pull off three very nice efforts to beat him.

2) Gold Cup is every two years, unlike Euro and ACN etc, which are every four. So if one team wins both times, they get in automatically (like we should be). If two teams win, they face off in a playoff. So the winner this weekend faces us. If it's USA-Mexico, I'm praying it ends up in Columbus, although I doubt it. CONCACAF decides.

That honestly was one of the three best sporting events I've ever been to. I wish you hadn't had to race back to Cleveland and I hadn't had a bus to get back on, the players came back out and celebrated w the Outlaws after the other match ended (like an hour later) that clinched USA going to the World Cup.

I seriously doubt it'd be in colombus. Mexico will want a neutral ground so probably somewhere in texas.

Which is anything but neutral. They're fucking everywhere. We honestly need like North Dakota or something to get any type of advantage

each confederation would get half the tickets and they would be sold. texas would be neutral. colombus is massive USA advantage. CONCACAF could still do stupid shit and make it really neutral and put it in San Jose, Costa Rica or somewhere in Canada but they will only do that if the two countries can't decide on a spot which will be in the southern USA

I'm just saying that Texas, a state where Mexico has played numerous HOME games, isn't neutral. Columbus would obviously be a USA advantage. I'd much prefer Canada or Costa Rica to be honest. I'd also like to see anyone with a laser and/or throwing trash be drawn and quartered... but that's just me.

Bid for tickets for the Euro cup next year in France. I only decided to bid for the opening match and final and I'll try for tickets to other matches later when I realize where I want to go/see. Anyways, got the email saying I was successful for the opening match! Get to see France vs. someone and see the opening festivities... should be fun.

How bad was that U.S. Loss to Jamaica? I know it was their first loss to them but in terms of the tournament I'd like you soccer junkies to weigh in.

As a non soccer fan I was shocked but how detrimental
Is it to the U.S. Program really?

1) We may miss the Confed Cup
2) It leaves a bad taste in the mouth
3) It underlines the issues that Klinnsman still has after two years on the job.

Just read, if Mexico win the Gold Cup, the playoff will be in Pasadena. If Jamaica win, it will likely be somewhere on the east coast.
