We're going to reach a point where the same people who are complaining the loudest about mask mandates will be the reason we have them as long as we do.
We have been at this point for a while now.
I am not saying give up your rights, blah blah blah, those people kill me by the way with that argument.
What I am saying is, if people would have worn masks and taken this serious from the beginning, it would have lessened the effectiveness or spread of it.

George, what you are not reading or choose to not believe, not sure which, but the vaccine doesn't mean you will no longer get the virus. It means, if you do get it, your body would have built up an immunity and you may get a small cough or sneeze for a day and it goes away. It doesn't mean your body will never carry the virus.
With that said, the mask is not for you, never has been. It is for everyone else. It is to help aid in the spread of the virus. I may have the virus and not know it. Again, I may have had a slight cough, for 1 day, a week ago. It may have been the Corona virus. My body fought it off, but that virus is still in me. So I don't wear a mask, I sneeze in a grocery store and now that virus has spread. It may be laying on a surface that causes no harm as no one touches it in whatever time they say the virus lives on surfaces now.
But I may have sneezed on someone, by accident and that virus is now on their clothes.
They then touch that spot with their hand and then rub their eyes or something to that effect.
Masks were never about you, the person wearing the mask. They were always about helping to protect your fellow Americans. But for some reason, so many people get butt hurt and want to preach that they are taking my rights away, etc.
In my opinion, it is no different than having to wear a shirt and shoes in a store. They are now requiring masks while I am in that store. So I wear one. If I don't like it, don't shop in that store.
Now, the dumbass curfews, the bars closing at 10 PM instead of being able to say open till 1 AM.....
The highschool wrestlers that are allowed to compete in their matches, but are not allowed to shake hands after the match....
Those are the dumbass rules that I can't stand. Not because I feel like they are taking my rights away, but because they are not using logic or thinking logically when they are making up these dumb ass rules.
For the bars, so you are telling me that Covid has a curfew and comes out at 10 PM? So why am I allowed to be open till 10, but not till 11 PM?
For the highschool wrestlers, this 1 was "mindbottling" to me. They are allowed to be all over each other for the 15-20 minutes of the match, but once they are done, they are not allowed to stand up and shake hands as they normally do. What? So the handshake is what is going to spread Covid?
Or I look at the NFL. You can go out on the field, tackle each other, have scrums of 22 guys fighing over a fumble, but when you get back to the sidelines, you better put your mask on.
That is the stuff that drives me crazy, where there is no logic in the rules.
