So if you have been vaccinated why can't you take your mask off then? Let's say a month after vaccination should give you enough time to build immunity according to the CDCBFiVL wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 9:29 am Dr Faucci answer for you George from yahoo today.

So again, why keep wearing the mask if you are immune and can't get it?It typically takes a few weeks for the body to build immunity (protection against the virus that causes COVID-19) after vaccination. That means it's possible a person could be infected with the virus that causes COVID-19 just before or just after vaccination and still get sick.Jan 28, 2021

When those people finally get the vaccine, that's the answer to your question.GeorgesGoons wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 9:43 am and I can guarantee that 70%-85% will not take the vaccine within the next couple of years.
We have been at this point for a while now.
Yeah, they stated a while ago, kids are not the carriers they thought they were.plasma1896 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 10:46 am i have been safe for almost a 11 months and my coworker tested positive. his brother likes to go to the casino and got covid and he lives with his brother and he got it. so both wifes and themselves are positive, but all 4 kids are negative.
so i had to go get tested on friday and my result was negative. if i was positive , i was going to pay his degenerate brother a visit. people who are anti mask just think it effects them only. if i was positive, my wifes entire company would have had to close down till everyone gets tested, and then their families would need to get tested and so on.
so mask up and be smart . simple.
Wait, masks aren't required at the casino?

George, what you are not reading or choose to not believe, not sure which, but the vaccine doesn't mean you will no longer get the virus. It means, if you do get it, your body would have built up an immunity and you may get a small cough or sneeze for a day and it goes away. It doesn't mean your body will never carry the virus.

Immunity to a disease is achieved through the presence of antibodies to that disease in a person’s system. Antibodies are proteins produced by the body to neutralize or destroy toxins or disease-carrying organisms. Antibodies are disease-specific. For example, measles antibody will protect a person who is exposed to measles disease, but will have no effect if he or she is exposed to mumps.
When 70% get vaccinated. So if they don't, it doesn't go away, and we can blame the people who refuse to get vaccinated for keeping us under lockdown and mask mandates.GeorgesGoons wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 12:37 pm I just want to know when the insanity goes away because there is no way in hell we ever get to the 70% vaccinated.

It'll never happen within the next 5 years. You know that right? Everyone knows that right?shel311 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 12:40 pmWhen 70% get vaccinated. 27% of doctors and just over 50% of German front line workers are opting out of getting it from a survey in DecemberBut when it comes to vaccinations, she says, she doesn't want to go straight to the front of the line, preferring to wait: "I'm cautious here and a bit wary of the whole thing. I'm worried because the vaccine hasn't been around long enough to be able to just say: 'Ok, I'm now 100% convinced of it.' But that's just my personal feeling."
But everywhere you read regarding masking and closing small businesses (we know that is the only businesses that are getting hurt here) it will end once we get 70%. It's been a blanket statement over and over.The_Niddler wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 12:49 pmI am not sure I understand where his confusion is coming from.shel311 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 12:40 pmWhen 70% get vaccinated. I mean, you are posting the numbers yourself George. When we hit 70%, the madness can go away, so if we don't hit 70%, they may not lift the mask requirement.
Then just don't complain when you're the reason things are delayed in going back to normal.GeorgesGoons wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 12:57 pm It'll never happen within the next 5 years. You know that right? Everyone knows that right?
I'm not the only reason. You have doctors and nurses not doing it as well. That just solidifies my stance on not taking it. Couple them with the virus not being deadly for people in my demographics is enough for me to hold off.shel311 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 1:00 pmThen just don't complain when you're the reason things are delayed in going back to normal.GeorgesGoons wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 12:57 pm It'll never happen within the next 5 years.
