Is there a way to release someone and pay everything that is owed now instead of it being prorated over what the contract was?
No
Technically, yes.
explain
When you release someone in this manor, it places their salary in a misc. player expenses field in your team settings. All Billy would have to do is go in and move the expense to the current year.
Winter topic next year Billy or you just want to make it happen without a poll?

He is talking about manually editing. They do it in the dugout but we don’t do it here.

Exported and ready to go. Operation re-sign Munoz is gonna require some finances jankery for sure but I think I can get it done. Sadly this means almost 100% I lose Ryan Williams who has been super under-rated IMO....especially since this game has his OVR/POT below 60 lol.

I'm not going to post a team preview because we're just not that good, but with that said I'm looking forward to seeing what SP Keith Sharp and RF Brad Perry can bring to the team. Multi Gold Glove winner Dave Tidwell seems to be excited about finally having some help with the team as well.
IF, big if, the pitching staff can get something .... anything ... done, maybe we can dream about a ~.500 season.

5-2 start for the Greeks, probably as good as it gets for us this year so drink it in boys.

Spend $12.5M on a prospect. He is pitching well in the first game and then he goes down for the year. Well, looks like that was a wasted investment now.
Other than that, a pretty expected start to the season. Next sim we get returning AL champ Cleveland and who knows what we get with NE. As long as we don't get swept like returning AL Central champs MJ we'll count it as a win.

We won't sustain it, but a nice start to the season. Brady Perry and Keith Sharp both starting out nice. Samways, what a disappointment. It'll be a short leash for what I really thought would be part of a great up and coming group of players.
