Yeah, I got in to accept Dan's invite and menus were perfect.
100 times faster than the previous 2 days for me.

I found it when the game first dropped but now I can't remember where to find the option to turn quick count on or off?

I don't see it there.

You can only turn it on for the franchise. So AJ has to do it for his franchise.
It is not an individual setting.

I am not sure for offline franchises or other game modes.

Offline it will come up when you go into the game, in the pre game menus. It will ask if you want quick count, time of day, etc.

It doesn't :(

It should come up after stadium select, but it doesn't for me. It did the first time I did an exhibition, but I'm trying to do a postseason and I tried with an offline franchise just to see and it doesn't pop up for me.

Bump for the morning, I wasted I'd say about a solid hour trying to start a new offline franchise but couldn't as I couldn't figure out how to get the pop up for quick counts on.

Well hell, that hour would be made up in probably 2 games...had I actually figured out how to turn it on.

Anyone playing without quick counts is making a mistake.

Yep.

I sorta figured out the answer, but still haven't completely figured it out.

I started on the experienced setting, then I changed everything to the way I liked it, and saved the Experience setting. So, when I start a franchise/postseason and use Experienced, that's when I do NOT get the Quick Count option, but I don't know how to change it to make it pop up.

The interesting thing, if I start one on, say , Beginner level, it does pop up, but then I don't have all of my other settings saved.

I'm on the fence on that. I've played a good amount of games (7?) in Ryan's main league and I think there are benefits to both. With quick counts on, games take about half of the time. With the quick counts off, my SP frequently goes longer because I usually don't have a lot of 2-2/3-2 counts. You also get the benefit of 1st and 2nd pitch outs. On top of that, I've found out that I strike out more frequently with Quick Counts on.

One thing I wonder, concerning time, is if Ryan's league is taking longer because the broadcast camera is on?

I cycle through cut scenes. Me and coug played a game in well under an hour. I need to time both leagues I'm in. I really feel it's not more than 15 mins longer.

15 minutes will get me 1/2 way or so through game #2.

not to mention the swing delay and bullshit animations that come with head to head

what about them? scroll down on the initial set up. the list is longer than what you just see on your screen. quick counts is towards the bottom

In Ryan's league, it just depends on your opponent.

If I am playing the CPU, I am blasting right through most of that stuff.
I just don't have 40 hours of free time to get through a season in a month or so.
If I am playing another human, I ask them what they prefer. If they are ok, we usually blast through most of it.

I actually like the game more without quick counts, because I like having a true at bat and not having a count pre-determined.
But as BFiVL stated, it is probably about 15 minutes longer if you blast through all the extra stuff.
If you are sitting and watching everything, then yes, you need a good hour to play a game where with quick counts, it is say 30 minutes.

And 1 hour is not bad as that is basically how long an NCAA or Madden game takes, but the difference is, you play 40-82-162 games in a season compared to football where you are playing 16 weeks.

Yeah, even after you start the franchise, if you go into the franchise settings, you should see the quick count option if you scroll down.
