I thought they got the timeout with :07 left... really surprised that wasn't reviewed by the refs or at least conferenced. Guess not.

Either way you're right, that's shit time management. Could bite them

I would say Alabama is lucky to be down only 5 points. Could be a blow out if Auburn was able to convert a couple of the FGs from inside the 10 yard line into touchdowns.

Auburn has left too many points out there with those 5 FGs, Alabama wins by 2 scores

This isn't unexpected but who are they going to get? In a year when Florida and, in all likelihood, Michigan are going to be looking for new coaches where does Nebraska fall in the hierarchy of jobs? Honestly, outside of Harbaugh I don't see a whole lot of potential home run hires out there.

Just found this on HuskerMax.com:
Media Alert

Sunday, November 30, 2014, For Immediate Release

University of Nebraska Director of Athletics Shawn Eichorst has dismissed Head Football Coach Bo Pelini effective immediately. Eichorst will be available to the media today at 1:00 p.m. in the West Memorial Stadium 6th floor media area.

Statement from Director of Athletics Shawn Eichorst: "Earlier this morning, I informed Coach Bo Pelini of our decision to move forward in a new direction. Coach Pelini served our University admirably for seven years and led our football program's transition to the Big Ten Conference. We wish Coach Pelini and his wonderful family all the best and thank him for his dedicated service to the University."

Statement from Chancellor Harvey Perlman: "I fully support Shawn's decision to make a change in the leadership of our football program, and wish Bo and his family all of the best. I am confident that Shawn will find the best coach, teacher and fit for this University and for our football program."

Hired as Nebraska's 28th coach on December 2, 2007, Bo Pelini has posted a 67-27 record in his seven years at the helm of the Husker Football Program. The University of Nebraska supports 24 varsity athletics sports, including its football program which has enjoyed success at the highest level winning five national championships, 43 conference championships and 874 victories since 1890 to rank fourth all-time in victories.

Really wish they gave him a chance to change coordinators to see if that would spark the program. But reading over the past few years in how loyal Bo Pelini is I am sure even given the chance to fire his staff or be fired himself he would probably taken the latter.

Dream hire for me is to bring in the Broken Bow, Nebraska kid. Scott Frost as HC. Mushcamp (or however you spell it) as DC. Frost is a proven offensive coordinator and one of the better recruiters out there. Mushcamp is better suited as a defensive coordinator. If somehow Frost doesn't pan out and the Huskers were able to lure away Patterson from TCU that would be a good hire as well. And if you were to look outside the power 5 teams I think Doc Holliday (Marshall), Matt Wells (Utah State), Mark Hudspeth (ULL) and Jim McElwain (Colorado State) would be interesting hires. With the right coordinators and position coaches these guys would do good.

I really want Scott Frost. He has been taught by some of the greatest offensive minds/coaches, Tom Osborne, Bill Walsh, Belicheck, Parcells, Gruden and Chip Kelly. I think he would be the home run hire if the Huskers were able to lure him away from Oregon. Maybe with Marriota leaving for the NFL that may help sway him to come back home and mentor some talent in his home state rather than trying to build the next guy in Oregon.
