As the pandemic gained pace, WHO often shied away from calling out some of its biggest donors, including Japan, France and Britain. WHO scientists labelled some of their approaches "macabre" and "an unfortunate laboratory to study the virus," according to dozens of leaked recordings of internal WHO meetings and documents from January to April obtained by The Associated Press.

Anyone actually going to get the vaccine when it comes out? I'm just curious as to what percentage will actually do it. I'm on the fence whether to get it or not as we don't know what the long term side effects are

We received an email Friday night from work offering us a spot in our phase 3 trials. That was a hard pass, haha.

It could be life changing, and not in a good way.
Why would a healthy person under 50 take it? The data shows you have a 99% rate of survival from it.
Let the people with preexisting conditions have first access for it. I won't take it for a couple of years most likely, my age and health demographic isn't at risk of dying from COVID-19

lol
well the reality is most of you werent gonna get the vaccine in 2021 anyways. unless you work in medical, in a school, or are high risk, you wont be getting it for a bit.
theyve already said no one under 18 will be getting the vaccine.

Military will be one of the first as well. I wouldn't opt to take it until at least 2026 when I turn 50 and there are more studies of any side effects that could come up down the road.

Wondering if nick knows that not everyone who occasionally has a couple of beers gets liver disease, and it's generally limited to heavy alcoholics.

Some people enjoy drinking... I'm not sure there's a big population that shoots up vaccines for fun in their spare time.

i know someone who got cirrhosis of the liver after 20 years of no drinking so iunno where you get your self made up info from but ok..
fact remains ppl have no problem drinking with in the moment side effects (impaired driving for example) and long term effects (addition, health problems)
but a vaccine? need to see 5-10 yrs of it to see side effects

its funny cause the long term side effects to this is immunity to viruses which could have us live longer/healthier lives.. most older ppl die due to petty colds/flus (like covid).. we eliminate them and people are living to 90+ and to 50-70 in much better shape..
you know what, if you dont want the vaccine dont get it. Thats some beta shit
