The injury bug has killed my team this year. Leadoff hitter down for 10 months with a ruptured MCL. Beef go 4-2 and still lose a game and a half. Should get my CFer back so that helps.

New England's AAAA team gets swept by Omaha and sputters into the toughest stretch of their schedule in 4th place in the AL East.

on a positive note, no injuries this sim and 3 starters came off the DL.

2-5 this sim. I had faint hopes of being in the playoff race when the season began and even a month into the season. But those wheels are officially off and about two miles back down the road.

6-1 sim for the Whalers.

Take finale of San Diego series.

Take 2 of 3 against New England. Higgy homering twice in series made me happy.

Sweep Dillonvale.

Offense may be coming around finally. Higgy may have finally found a spot in the 3-hole. 3 HR's this sim. And dropping WU and Cruz to 4 and 5 haven't affected them yet.

Pitching wise, Collier is 0-3 with a 8.50 era since his All-Star appearance. All-Star manager must have messed with him. Allen may be coming around, 3 earned over his last two starts, And Jim Haley is surprising everyone in Hartford. After posting a nearly 7 era last season and spending most of this season in AAA, he is 3-1 with a 1.99 era in 6 starts so far. Morrisey continues to be everything we hoped for out of the pen, and Foster and Xu seem to have broken out of their slumps.

Now all we have to do is make up the games we blew over the past month and a half.

FYI... I'm considering 2 options for the playoffs.

#1 - Playoffs all in 1 night (Wed)

or

#2 - Playoffs stretched out over 3 nights (Wed-Thu-Fri).


I've put the 3 night schedule out there, but the more I think about it, the better I think we would be with the 1 night super sim. As I discussed last season, things will change just a bit. It is going to go something like this (1 night scenario):

- All teams export for Rnd. 1.
- All playoff managers need to be online for the sim, or designate someone to run their team for them if they can't make it. If you choose not to find someone, I would only do minor adjustments through out the process to make sure that you field a full lineup.
- There will be no upload/download in between.
- Managers may make any necessary adjustment between any games.
- Managers will have a chance to make any necessary roster moves between each series.
- This setup does block anyone from doing anything with FAs/Waivers for about a month, so any IFA that slips through the crack would be rewarded to the finding team.
- I would expect the total time to be in the 2-3hr range.

I can't come up with anything off the top of my head for Dallas or Drillers. I wouldn't have anything for Louisville either if it wasn't for J-Hay hay hay hay being so funny

I have another name that I use for Louisville and their manager, but I keep it to myself because I don't want to be preached to by Pastor Jsence.
