So....in addition to the 8 month injury, his stuff also went from 81 to 51.

I spent $78 mil for 4 starts. Cool, cool.

It's not the first time. Around 6-8 seasons ago when I decided to participate, the same exact thing happened, forgot the guy.

There was no injury, but 2 starts into his $130mil contract, he lost all his ratings. I released him probably less than a half season into that contract.

I was slightly off, I think it was Don Higgins.

Paid him $112million, he did start off well then he did get hurt and ratings tanked, and I released him after the season but also had him buried and not starting later in the season.

$112mil for 17 starts. Now $78mil for 4 starts.

That's not even factoring in the 3 or 4 guys over the same time span who had a decent rookie or 2nd season with a 58-60 overall, who by year 5 were like 43 overall.

Even some hitters like Esteban Rodriguez have done the same. It just feels like 75% of the dudes i have who are rated 60 overall before 25 end up being rated 45 overall either very quickly or well before they're older.

I think our arena league offensive settings are killing pitchers in more than one.

While I'm whining, I'll do 1 more then go back to hibernation.

My #4 overall pick from the last draft from my scout has gone from 58 to 50 to 44 potential. Even by OSA who loves everyone, he has gone from 78 to 70 to 56 since I drafted him.

He was the #49 prospect 1 month after I drafted him. 10 months later, he's not in the top 500 prospects list.

The Sheltown curse is back.
