Whoooooosh
Re: 2070 Season Thread.... Oh Canada
That’s like saying ERA of 93+ would be basically average which it very well is not.

Re: 2070 Season Thread.... Oh Canada
It's a real fun read shel!

"• If your team exceeded the luxury tax last season, it will forfeit its second- and fifth-highest picks and will have its international bonus money pool reduced by $1 million; an additional qualified free agent will cost the team its third- and sixth-highest picks. In other words: All first-round picks are now protected, and the highest pick a team can lose is from the compensatory sandwich round immediately following the first round.
• If your team received revenue sharing last year, it will forfeit its third-highest pick. An additional player will cost the team its fourth-highest pick."
AND
"If your team received revenue sharing last year and the departing player signed a contract worth more than $50 million guaranteed, the former team will receive a compensatory draft pick from the sandwich round between Rounds 1 and 2. If the player signs a deal for less than $50 million, however, that pick will come after Competitive Balance Round B, which comes after Round 2.
But there's more! If the former team was over the luxury tax last year, then it will receive a compensatory draft pick after the fourth round."

Former 1st round pick in Boston applauded by many for being taken where he was
Top 50ish prospect with big hope
Key piece in the controversial Kline trade
Traded for peanuts
Now on the waiver wire
What a journey for the fella

Re: 2070 Season Thread.... Oh Canada
Does anyone just not put their top prospects in AAA?
Seems I do this and they immediately perform terribly and take massive ratings drops even if they are in the appropriate age/ratings category to be in AAA.
Might just leave everyone at max in A or AA then jump to MLB.

I think the rookie/short a levels can be moved quickly if they are doing well. Single A to AAA is probably a yearly thingy, or 2 years at some level.
Re: 2070 Season Thread.... Oh Canada
i wait for the green arrow to appear next to a guy once they hit A ball before moving them up to AA or AAA.

I'd noticed my top pitching prospects performed really well up to AAA, then stunk it up. Not sure about the ratings drop though.Cnasty wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2020 10:54 am Does anyone just not put their top prospects in AAA?

I've been debating inviting Bartolo to ST this upcoming season but, as you just pointed out, he took a ratings dump but did perform pretty well in AAA to end the season.

This for sure and should have specified pitchers. Hitters can do their thing and are normally fine.Wasted Memory wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2020 11:06 am I'd noticed my top pitching prospects performed really well up to AAA, then stunk it up. Not sure about the ratings drop though.
Its the pitchers that just fall apart in AAA.

Well, going back and reviewing my guys they weren't as bad as I thought I remembered them being, but the ERA like Ted pointed out was higher than what I was expecting.

Re: 2070 Season Thread.... Oh Canada
better hitters in AAA then other levels. ex ML guys, top hitters is the reason for the 4.5 era. if a guy lights it up at A, then gets hit around in AA, he is most likely going to spend 2 seasons there for me.
