i really half assed this offseason and didn't plan very well. I have 7 SP and like 10 RPs. No bonafide closer, no 1B, and am slotted to use Ishida as DH.

… but i did get that LH SP!

I can help you with your half assed off season acquisitions. I'll take Tony Sanchez from ya and send you a closer and a 1B. Win win for the both of us

Ted is currently not offering his top guys, only the bottom half of the rotation, but he will ask for your very best prospects then wonder why you won't make that trade with him. :)

Ted and I have a great trading relationship. Usually just filler type guys though

the bottom half of my rotation is better than most of your prospects

if you would just sign the IFAs I tell you to sign and trade them to me, we wouldn't have this problem!

I feel I have a great trading relationship with everyone except Winterfell, LA, and probably getting there with Rhode Island.

Oh and Chicago but so does everyone else so that doesn't count.

We have made a few deals over the years, but you ask for the same guy everytime, and i give you the same answer. is that bad?

I forgot about ol Ronnie Dineen. Guess I forgot to short list him when I traded him, still looks good to me

Set Game Strategy

There is the option to set guys as openers and followers.

You can do it from the pitching tab as well

I know preseason predictions do not mean much but this year is especially bad.

A guy I signed to a minor league FA deal Felipe Gonzalez a top 10 hitter in the AL but not Woods, Weber, Nonaka, or Silva.... ok lol

It's not that we have a bad trading relationship, I just won't even counter your "Trade me ____!" requests. The Cook (Iron) Islands are loyal to Winterfell and will remain so.

I am getting a lot of feedback that game handles this opener thing terribly. This is what one guy said

I've run variations on the opener/follower strategy the last two seasons, and Dave is correct in that the game doesn't really handle the logic of when to remove the opener that well. I've tried a 5-man opener/follower rotation, a mix with 3 regular starters and two opener/follower slots, and then just not using the opener/follower roles at all but controlling usage through strictly defined roles (leverage/usage frequency/specialists for both LHB and RHB), tight pitch counts, and quick hook settings. The last option worked best, but required a lot of micromanagement, and I'd still have games where a low stamina MR that started would go 6 or 7 innings.

I've seen 3-4 guys post things like this so consider yourself warned if you try it

Not gonna affect my pitching staff. They are okay at best. I'll give it a try for maybe a couple of starts to a month and see how it pans out for the 2 guys I have doing it
