Re: 2017-18 NBA Season
The 2 younger Ball brothers have signed with Lonzo's agent and Daddy Ball is looking to get them on the same team somewhere overseas.

On one hand, he's crazy.
On yet another hand, the craziness is part of his brilliance
But on the final hand, I think the crazy is actually his true self but he's just got enough smarts to make the crazy work to make him rich

The guy is a fucking cancer! I was watching a sports talk show (cant remember if it was on ESPN or FOX Sports) where daddy Ball withdrew the younger ball from HS after the new coach at Chino Hills said he wouldn't be able to shoot 50 times a game. This whole family is the Kardashians of the sports world, plain and simple.
And does anyone still think a #2 pick was justified for Lonzo? I think a 2nd round pick would still be a bad pick for an organization. 1/2 of it because of how he shoots and the other 1/2 is the organization ended up drafting 2 people with daddy Ball constantly bad mouthing the coach (not sure if he has done players as well).

Re: 2017-18 NBA Season
I still think Lonzo can be a very good player and special as a pass first PG. Thing is Lonzo does not seem to be selfish at all. I think the shooting will come. A tweak in mechanics and just getting his confidence back will help.
That being said I never thought he should have been the #2 pick and thought he was more in the 5-7 range.
As for his pops, I find it annoying as hell and when he keeps second guessing Walton I am sure it bothers some guys but all the rest is just building his BBB which I have no clue how it is doing.

I agree as a pass first type PG. But he gives the ball up to fast in possessions, almost like he doesn't want to be the one running the offense. And the game has changed too much to have a John Stockton type PG. They need to be scorers now and attack the rim on offense. You talk about his mechanics, hell the guy misses a shit ton of layups as well. He would have been perfect for the D-League for a year or two.
I agree with the second guessing Walton. If he was that great of a coach he'd be coaching at the collegiate level or higher.

Re: 2017-18 NBA Season
only thing i dislike about lavar is when he says things like "lonzo wont show it but hes frustrated with the team and not used to losing". Even if Lonzo confided in that you.. keep that to yourself.
Re: 2017-18 NBA Season
That and him being kinda delusional about Lonzo at the moment. A few days ago he said Lakers are losing because Lonzo needs more 4th quarter minutes and they need to run thru him. Come on dude it's ok to acknowledge he is struggling. Just let him develop and drop the he is the best player in the world nonsense
Re: 2017-18 NBA Season
Getting to see Brandon Ingram tonight and he is playing with so much more confidence. He is developing very nicely
Re: 2017-18 NBA Season
That Lakers/Philly game was as fun of a game as I've watched this season. Embiid is just incredible and so fun to watch with Simmons. Ingram developing nicely in LA. The Lakers have a decision to make this season about trading Randle or risk losing him for nothing this summer.

Re: 2017-18 NBA Season
Ball Brothers have signed with this Lithuanian team:
Prienu Vytautuas, or BC Prineai as it's often called, is a low-level club from a small, non-English speaking village of roughly 10,000 people in southern Lithuania. The team has been grappling with financial issues, and started the season losing 8 of its first 12 games in the Lithuanian league.
The team is 4-1 in the Baltic League after its lone loss came on a forfeiture. The coach (Virginijus Seskus) received two technical fouls and was ejected late in the game. The team refused to return onto the court for overtime after the game ended 65-65 in regulation.
Vytautuas has sparingly signed American players in the past decade, only ex-Vanderbilt guard Brad Tinsley. He left the team after a month.
The club plays in a 1700 seat arena. 500 of those seats are reserved for team sponsors and their friends. Tickets cost around 5 euro.
The team has no general manager and doesn't practice regularly due to the poor financial situation

Re: 2017-18 NBA Season
There are 33 guys in the NBA who take 15 or more shots per game.
OKC's big 3 rank 30th, 32nd, and 33rd in FG% from that list.

Re: 2017-18 NBA Season
People here in OK thought this was going to be what brought them to prominence. I kept telling them that there was no way this was going to work. Not short term, not long term. IMO not while Westbrook is here. As good as he is and I don't deny his talent....his ego is the cancer of this team.
Re: 2017-18 NBA Season
doesn't help that Anthony is 6 years past his prime and even in his prime he was just a scorer who shot a ton and killed any possible offensive flow in the process with his style.texasfan4444 wrote:People here in OK thought this was going to be what brought them to prominence. westbrook and George with a bunch of role players probably would have been more effective. they aren't going to just 'ignore' Anthony even though that is what needs to be done

Re: 2017-18 NBA Season
At this very moment, the Rockets have the best offense in the history of the NBA, 115.7 points per 100 possessions.
122.1 in the 300 minutes Chris Paul has been on the court.
