in the past he definitely has, he gives up way earlier than any other coach and it makes sense

...and wow Nuggets forgot how to score
The teams shot 36% and 37%. As good as NBA players are at hitting open jumpers and finishing at the rim, it's hard to believe the D was garbage all game with those numbers.

no one that plays good defense allows an open shot everytime down the floor
so you think guys in college play better defense than guys in the pros?
i mean nothing you could say could surprise me (especially not basketball related comments) so lay it on me
do you think these guys lay off a couple feet cause they just 'aren't trying'? ever think the guys are so fucking fast and skilled that they have no other choice? you play up like the guys do in college and you get blown by, you play back they shoot over you. the defense played in the nba is so unbelievably ahead of college its not even worth talking about. the guys in the NBA are so detailed with every step they take, where they place their hands/feet, their spacing, their help, etc. in college guys just run around like nuts cause the talent level isn't there to take advantage of it. thats why guys aren't full court pressing and trapping in the NBA. if they did the other teams would score every possession. i mean the same 'great defenders' in college are now the guys you say 'don't play d'. how is that possible?
nevermind the fact they guys like Ray Allen running off screens from guys like Shaq. i'm guessing thats going to free up a guy from time to time.
then again, you also told us that Popovich doesn't try to come back in the 2nd half during playoff games if their behind cause he doesn't want his guys to get fatigued, he'd rather wait for the next game

This is completely true. NBA defense isn't about getting up in a guy or forcing him one way or another. NBA defense is truly team defense where the players are expected to recognize what the offense is doing and then take away spots on the floor to force the other team into something they don't want to do.

the continuation rules are such garbage
...pick and roll D with the switches is awesome in the NBA, along with their ability to make open jumpers (see I can compliment)
