The formula is extremely easy to understand, actually. The method of organizing and applying the data - especially since it is dynamic - is not. I think you are too busy thinking about how he gets the end result and not the data itself.

That said, I can't figure out what his initial data values are. Everything seems to hinge on his Game Outcome Function formula. However, even to get that, you'd have to know what base probability he is working with just to get that. You can't just say that a team that won 27-20 will win a rematch under the same conditions 69% of the time; you need to have some empirical data. He won't share that because, well, then he'd be out of a hobby/job.

exactly. AJ's just being a bitch lately lol.

shit like this is cool to understand. It's also a large aspect of the NDL.

I might do an RPI for the NDL so at the end of the year if people are like "hmm..3 10-2 teams which gets BCS?" i can be like "well Team A had the #1 RPI in the nation" and then it's a no brainer.

Add another element to the NDL

*BUMP*

Could we get this guy updated!? Since it's pulling data from Massey, seems like all it would need was a refresh

no i think it was one entire season ( season 25 ) and he was on a long streak after a loss in season 24 somewhere, but again I say I think it could have been this way lol

I thought he was back to back.

EDIT: I was wrong lost to clemson Season 24. Undefeated in 25. Then won 9 games this Season. So 33 straight wins is what I count according to the History link on the NDL2 page.

I think my streak netted out at 32 (9 straight wins to end Season 24 - 14 straight wins in Season 25 - 9 straight wins in Season 26)

That said, I had perfect runs in Season 12 (Tennessee) and Season 18 (Iowa), but lost in the National title games. The first to a sim and the 2nd to a curb stomping by Shel.
