nfl teams don't give a shit about academics.look at ja-horrible in oakland. he is as smart as a pet rock just catch the ball and your lightning quick ,sign on the dotted line.
That was because of Al Davis' "great" drafting skills. I mean look who he drafted this year...DHB has more dropped balls than catches.
I think the entire Raiders team has more drops than catches.
That's cause Russell has zero touch ;)

Touch schmouch, Raiders dropped 9 passes last week. They have equal parts bad QB and bad WRs.

Merrill Hoge on NFL Live did a good breakdown and talked about how horrible the gameplanning is. He, of course, mentioned how bad Russell is with pocket presence and his accuracy and decision making. But hoge said basically EVERY play they run is all verticals or a screen pass. He couldn't get over how all they did was run all verticals all the time and rarely do they run shorter type routes.

Russell could have benefitted from a Crabtree type WR, provided the Raiders would have ever signed him, not a DHB who has 2 catches and probably 6 or 7 drops right now.

Just bad all around.

i think he'll be back by the texas game, the problem is they have to prove that he didnt meet with the agent while there and hes already lied about going so it could be tricky.

Because Jamarcus is to dumb to learn any other plays in the playbook.

Looks like he won't be back this year.

What a shame, he is one of the most fun college players to watch.

I still think he'll be the 1st WR taken, with Lafell 2nd.
