In the end, I'd say just about all of us are here for the comradery and the fun and knowing we all love college football.

I joined this league for one reason and one reason only...straight games.

Im never going to be as good as 75% of the league for several reasons. I dont put the time in, I'm too dam old, and I just dont care. Keep in mind I am as competitive as anyone in the league. It's just not going to happen though. But I like the statistics, and the write ups, and the in jest jabs at one another on the boards. thats why I am here

And while we are at it, 100% of the guys in the league are bigger college football fans than I am. I used to be when I was younger, but in reality I'm more of an NFL guy now. But as long as I am playing PS3 games online, I'll be here.

I like the "idea" of the league itself. The fact you can bring together 120 guys and make it work is really something.

We can't satisfy everyone in terms of giving them who they want as far as teams and whatnot, so we try to satisfy the majority.

Its going to be a great version and another great year for the NDL......I think we just all need to get the draft over so we can play some games that 'count'

There was 34 coaches that kept their teams and wonder how many else could have, but decided agaisnt it to move up (I could have kept my team) but when you see major BCS schools going 7-5, 8-4 you would assume they would be availible so you take your chance.
Like I said I like the dynasty idea, but like nick mentioned you have the same group of 10-15 coaches keeping the same top 20 teams with someone occessionaly sneaking in.
When a BCS conf. team who was ranked in the top 10 and goes 7-5 and keeps their team it kinda makes ya think its impossible to get these coaches away from their teams.

I see where everyone is coming from, but personally Id rather stay in a small conf. true I dont get shots at the big boys or title games, but the league is fun either way.

I am with Doc on this. Its is cool too keep your team and you should be able to keep your team, but you should be incredibly good to keep your team.

What the point of a draft if 33% of the leagues gets to keep its the same guys getting the shitty schools and the other getting bad ones.

I dont know Doley, maybe cause its called the NCAA DYNASTY league. we have people bitch both ways, why dont we have more dynasties why dont more draft. Same argument every season it seems.

Facts are this, People usually draft season 3 teams looking ahead to season 1 of the new game. They take a team like an Ole Miss who was a B team last year, keep em, build the bank up so they can make a run with em when they jump up a letter grade. I would also like for someone who had the time to break down the list of kept teams and how long their coaches have been at that school. I bet a whole host have been there at least 3+ seasons.

Maybe it is time to ditch the bank. I'm hesitant to change the formula because more emphasis on winning could mean more win at all cost. That isn't what this league is about.

I agree people should be able to dynasty. But they better get perfect fucking coachjes reports and have great records. Thats not happening right now.

You can go 12-1 11-2 and have terriable coaches reports and keep

You can go 7-4 and have good coaches reports and keep

Points should be harder to get.

If you have 3 loses and good coaches reports then you should keep. People with 4 and 5 loses and good caoches reports should not be able to keeo these A teams every season.

My opinion nothing else. So don't talk about people bitching. That shit gets so old. People are just giving their opinion. People in this thread have been discussing very well. I never once bitched I just stated what I think.

looks like Nole was doing some reading in the Season 16 forum last night before starting this thread.

the whole point of this league besides the brotherhood is to be able to keep your team. That is what makes this unique and the fact that we have 120 coaches and 10% might be gay and we have beefy! I am happy staying in the Twin Cities because if I go 6-6 and a bowl, it is considered a mild success. I am competitve and want to be everybody but I know I can't but I like the "ya never know" factor. Any given night, EA can screw you over and I will pounce like an LOLcat ninja! Find a team that fits you. Minnesota fits me, middle of the pack team that can surprise at times and also look like shel trying to call BigMike out. I just want to play the game and have fun so I thank Jeffmo and all who came after. Long Live the NDL and I still hold a 31-0 win at the Big House in season 1 over Jeffmo and his Wolverines! I miss Marion Barber and Terry Jackson

that's what i did when i drafted Clemson for the last season on '08, just so i could have them in season 1 of '09 where i won it all. Then I got to Texas and the rest is history as i suck too much now to get 'em back

I think people should keep teams but nole brought up a question on the point system change.

the best part about this league to me is that it has never been about winning. I think this years draft will, in the end, not suck as bad as some of you think. I hung on to my team not because I can "win" with them, but because they are fun to play with. Focus on fun and I am sure most of the folks that are disappointed because they can not draft one of the A+ teams will in the end have the most fun they have had in the league in a while. This years game is a blast to play.

This is a sim football league and how we have it set up is pretty damn realistic to me. If I have multiple 10 win seasons and then throw a 6-6 season in there, should I be fired from an A team? Would that happen in real life? A B team in the game would have reasonable expectations as would a "b" team in real life so winning 6-7 games a season would be expected.

Maybe its because I am on the other side of the fence, but Bama has always been a middle of the road team for the 11 seasons I have had them. First time they have ever been an A. I have had to use my bank once in those years and have missed my win goal maybe once. More and More people are staying where they are at from season 3 to season 1 plus more and more coaches are getting their favorite teams. I am sure we will see some decent turnover next season but A lot of people are forgetting when they filled out an application for the NDL about this question.

Are you willing to play with any team? (Please be honest with us and yourself) Elaborate if necessary.

Anyway, I think the system is fine. Success is relative to the school you’re at. Winning 7-8 games six straight seasons at Ball State is like winning 11 games a year at USC or Florida. You have to have the participation and reports carry the weight they do or the priorities of the league (straight games, friendly competition) get seriously out of whack.

So basically, we shouldn't change a damn thing. How many other leagues have lasted 5 years and 15 seasons? There’s a reason for that.

120 teams, however the hell many they are now. WKU, Ga southern, Tenn Tech. Hell I dont know how many we have now, the game adds more each year.
