at least 2 keepers, then between 2-4 more depending on how many redshirts your team has. (redshirt is a player you draft, don't play the first year, then they stay on your team the rest of their career)

For instance, one team had Crabtree as a redshirt. Since he is no longer in college, you gain back the roster position as a draft choice.

It will be in July, not sure if we'll start on July 1st or not, still waiting to see what website we'll use, most of them are waiting until this month (June) to allow signups for 2009. I should have things more set by the end of the week.

How much is it per team this year?

Ok, I signed up the league on U-Sports, we'll try them this year and see how it goes.

Now, I know I said it would be $40 this year. Since signing up for USports costs 11.95, I say you pay your fee for that, and then the money for the league will be $30 (I have no problem paying an additional 10, but I think some people might. If we have enough that want to pay 40 and pay 10 for the registration, then maybe we'll increase it to 40 from 30.)

1) - I want to start the draft in early July. We could start on July 1st, but if we do, be prepared that we might have to break for a few days during the 4th, I have no problem doing that, let me know your thoughts.

2) - To draft, you must both register on the site, and pay your $30 to me by June 30th. If you do not do this, you risk losing your spot to someone on the waitlist.

3) - Every owner will decide BY June 30th on their two keepers from last year's team. If you do not, you lose that chance and get two draft choices instead.

4) - Remember, redshirted players stay on your team forever, keepers are just for the following season.

5) - I will go through each team's redshirts, if any have left college, switched to defense, etc, you will gain a draft choice back.

6) - For new owners, I will put you in a random draft order to pick up one of the vacant teams, you will have that team's redshirts, and get to choose two keepers. Once I find out if the final coach from last year is returning, then we'll be able to set our 16 coaches and move on from there.

7) - Everyone has the chance to drop ONE redshirt. That also must be submitted to me by June 30th.

8. - Draft will be down by message board, on both this one and probably have a copy on the USports message board as well. I think I'll also have a site that will show players taken by school and round as well, like I did last year.

So - go ahead and pay me $30 for this season, either by paypal or mailing a check. Then sign up on Usports (if you post your email in this thread, I'll send you an email invite to the league) and register for the league.

You can also check out the features and scoring, I've made a few slight adjustments from last year (extra points for longer FGs is the main one). Also, if you see anything in scoring you think we should have for this year, let me know. One thing we could do is give individual players points for return TDs, we haven't done that the first two years.

yes, actually, everyone go ahead and sign up on Usports, then we'll decide by end of this week if we want to put 30 or 40 (plus the registration fee). Please put your preference for which on the board here.
