So has anyone played for an extended amount of time. What is the verdict. I need to know if I will be picking up this game.

I'm pretty sure once everything is fixed that the game is going to work for the NDL. Socom is twice as fun with a group of people than just playing random games. Once people play that first Friday night and everybody is pounding cold ones they will get hooked on the game.

I just pre-ordered my copy.

Finally got a chance to play this today.

Definitely different than COD and I was having major trouble doing anything.

It does seem like it could be fun but will take a long time to get used to due to COD being the only shooter Ive ever played.

Looks decent,not thrilled with it but if its fun it wont matter to much.

LOVE the push to talk. Seemed so much more fluid and not a clusterfuck.

I can see it being fun but I can also see myself sucking horribly and not wanting to play due to my ass getting owned repeatedly.

Socom is a much different look and feel. It took me most of the night to figure out the controls. That shit is just going to take a while.

The fun of Socom is when you get a good group to play with. It’s actually more fun to play with and against people that you know than to hit the general pub rooms.

Also, some of the maps that will be there are great.

The only thing I prefer on COD over SOCOM is the "party" option. When the game is released, I hope they include some option to at least show which room your friends are in.

Yea it just will take some time to get used to and break the old habits of COD which will be real hard.

I had no clue what I was doing when I first started and totally forgot it was an over the shoulder look and I tried shooting myself since he was right in front of me until I figured it out.

Having never played a SOCOM game, it was a rather Nolesque moment.

Game is great when it plays right, the beta server kinda blows most of the times. can't wait to get a good NDL room going!,over

It takes a while. I still haven't figured out how to get my pistol as my 2nd weapon when I use the sniper as my primary.

If you download Episode #1 (that is episode #1 for all the retards like Nole) then you will get a code in your email.

The code does not come right away tho. It just depends on when they release a new batch of codes.

I think you can still download it but there is no way to know how long it takes to get the code. Maybe some people that just downloaded the episode can give you an idea of how long it took them to get the code.
