Dave, don't know if you're still looking but thought I'd point this one out to you that I stumbled across while looking.

http://www.walmart.com/ip/Samsung-Un55h ... 4/37406565

It's a $3000.00 tv, but on special for $1200.00. May be more than you wanted to spend but worth at least looking at I think.

I just bought a 50" Vizio 4K refurbished through an Amazon seller, called Good As New Electronics, for $629 with free shipping.

I love it so far.
I have been watching all the 4K content on Youtube this past weekend.
And reading reviews, it is a P series, which is Vizio's top they make.

Someone else can comment on the specs, and I'm not sure if a refurb is something that interests you, but here's a 55 inch Vizio LED TV for $499.

I buy refurb all the time. Just make sure you buy from some one that offers a replacement plan in case something goes wrong and that its a manufacturer refurb. I always buy an extra year warranty when I do refurb.

The warranty through Amazon was $36 for 3 years for my TV.
In-home service if anything goes wrong.
And from Assurant, who is a reputable warranty company.

Zero complaints here for $600.
4K is nice.
Woot.com or 1 sale-a-day had some Vizios listed today.

Yes, I used to do it when I had the Note phone with my Samsung TV, easy one button streaming from phone to tv.

Also you can check out the Best Buy auction site. I've gotten a few items from there and (outside of my desktop, which wasn't an issue on their end) have had absolutely no trouble with any of the devices.

https://bestbuy.dtdeals.com/auction/index.cfm

Used to be a private site but it's now open to the public. My desktop retailed for $1200, I got it for under $300, used the money to build it up. One of the things I installed, the driver appears to be what messed up my system. Some of the items are scratch/dent, but most of them are items that, once opened, they cannot put back on the shelves (esp computers/tablets). You can get some great deals on there.

I've gotten my desktop, two monitors, and a tablet from there. All for about 40% of original cost, nothing was ever wrong w any of them (just open box) and have never had any problems with anything I got there.

Yeah, I got on the site and you have to have a bestbuy.com email, be a partner, or be an employee.

Open box could have been used for any reason, but I always buy a warranty with any open box or refurbished TV.
You still come out ahead and you have 3-5 years of coverage, depending on the warranty.
