It doesn't hurt that I've only played the loading screen demo for PS4 and no matter who I take, I'm going to suck... or that after just glancing, I see at least 4 teams I'd use.

I'll take PSG.

I just assume I won't be able to play defense for shit, so a 3-5-2 with this squad should at least get me some goals. :-)

Just need to figure out the CM and a configuration for the back 3. Alex is turtle... but great defensive presence.

Ok, draft is over. I think we're going to do two pools of five teams, with home/away, so each of us play eight group stage matches. The top eight will advance (I want everyone to get a bunch of matches and have fun) to the knockout rounds. Knockout rounds will be one home, one away, with the higher aggregate going forward (away goals will be the primary tiebreaker). I'm hoping that when we get to the final, we can stream it so everyone can watch.

We will do the following settings:

8 min halves, unranked friendlies
Default latest rosters (not the live updates)
Normal gameplay speed
Custom formations are allowed, but you must keep them realistic (no more than 3 forwards, 5 midfielders)
No five-defender formations (lends itself to too much cheese)
Mix up your gameplay (we've all played online and have seen the nonstop sprint/cross, lobbed throughs, etc. Just play like NCAA lol--in moderation)
Tactical defending (no legacy)
Shooting/crossing/passing all up to the individual's preference (auto/semi/manual)

I'm going to do four "seeded" teams to keep the four best players split up and ensure each group is level in talent, and the other six will be in a pool. Each of the two groups will have two seeded and three unseeded.

Seeded:

Me
MattDaddy
Seeit
Reign

Unseeded:

Kdog
Krgkmg
SuperJake
Niddler
Shel
Downing

I will put together the groups tonight and try to get a schedule template in place. Due to the format we won't be using the NDL2 site for this particular league.

- I suck, definitely not top 4 on PS4. :-)
- I now have to throw out my 1-7-2 formation, with just Silva at the back and Cavani-Ibra up top.
- You mean crossing the ball 80 times a game isn't realistic? Psh, Moyes disagrees.

j/k... for those with no sarcasm detection...

not so j/k... about the first point.

When we are playing, please let me know if I am doing anything wrong.
I am pretty sure you will have no issues as I do not cross over and all of that repeatedly.

I do know about offsides and the basics, so our games will not struggle because of anything like that.

But just throwing it out there that I am just learning soccer, so bare with me.

Crossing is fine. Guys who play online know what I'm talking about. There are some players who do nothing but sprint down the sides and cross to their striker, rinse, repeat. It's like running the same play in NCAA. The group of guys we have here play very legit and you have to really try to cheese in FIFA; so if you aren't intentionally abusing something, you're going to be fine.

You would have had to have manually changed it, so you're good

Legacy was where you could hold X and your guy would tackle the ball. Tactical is what the game has by default now, where you have to manually time the tackle.

You're right, you're def not top 4, but BigMike isn't playing so you're in by default :P

That's fine, I'll just run my 6-0-4

And fuck Moyes  god damn Fulham. Bottom of the fucking table FULHAM. 23 points below where we were this point last year. Unreal.

80 crosses vs a reasonably athletic 6'7" defender is a GREAT idea!

We had a meeting last night for the USL club move so I wasn't able to get much done on it. I will do so tonight. Looking to likely start this weekend. I am actually going to go ahead and input the group stages into NDL2 to keep track easier, so that will take a bit of time to remove/replace teams and rosters, update it to two divisions, and get everything set up. If you'd like to help I will gladly accept.
