There is an anode rod that helps collect calcium so that it does not mess up the inside of your water heater.
Changing this at least once a year, some people recommend twice a year and this makes a water heater last a lot longer also.
Jut FYI for you.

My father does not agree with step 6, to wrap the water heater in a blanket.
The walls of the water heater have 3-4 inches of styrofoam already, so he believes that wrapping it with a blanket is not doing anything, but some people as the article above recommends it.

I was actually surprised; there was zero buildup on the elements. They were completely clean but had just burned out. I think they had been in there about 6 years. In fact, only one had burned out. I should have replaced both anyway but I only had one extra element.

I enjoyed the first Anchorman movie.
But they are saturating the shit out of the 2nd one and have come to a point of an annoying level of Ron Burgundy.

I'm really going to use this 3 weeks off from school to watch more movies on XBMC.
I have a lot of catching up to do.

The interview with Peyton Manning on ESPN was pretty funny.

God I hate getting old. Broke my ankle in August and finally got back to delivering my route a couple weeks ago. Now I have tendinitis in my shoulder and it won't go away and I just pulled a muscle in my groin. I'm falling apart.

+1
The first one is one of my favorite comedies of all time.
The prequel they made was just awful.
Hopefully this one will be good since they have both main characters back.

Who wouldn't be excited about a Dumb and Dumber sequel?

Me.
Some movies should never have sequels. This is one of them IMO.
Same with Anchorman, The Hangover, among others.

Took my 19 month old to the doc today for a routine check.
He is 34 inches tall which I guess is very tall for his age.
The doc throws out "he will be 6'4 or taller at minimum with this information". He said I havent seen a kid this tall at his age in about 3 years and this is the biggest pediatric group in Orlando.
Where is doc Weasel to see if this is an accurate comment to just throw out there.
I need to get the Tom Emansky videos on queue!

Your kid is already as tall as mine, Fml!

I guess I could have known that before going in as that is true. They are about the same height and he was taller than one of them, I dont remember who.
Another cool thing that I mentioned as he did this test of handedness and he was very dominant with the left hand and its true at home as he eats, draws, everything with his left hand.
Time to steer him more into baseball than football.

34" puts him at about the 50th percentile...for 2 year olds

I read that as he was agreeing since that is for a 2 year old?
He still has 5 months before he is 2.
