Never was great, but for a time when we were collecting cards and watching NFL football he was a guy on that team...

Todd Day was a little before them. I remember the May-Day and Oliver Miller teams at Arkansas. The biggest game of the season in Day's senior year was when UNLV visited. It was a track meet with what seemed like a dunk every 2 minutes. UNLV poured it on though and ran away from them.

As a kid, I was a huge Braves and UK fan, and rooted for the Cowboys since they were the only team on tv half the time. My favorite guys at that age were Jamal Mashburn and Antoine Walker; and Fred McGriff, Chipper Jones, and John Smoltz. I was also a Griffey fan and an Emmitt Smith fan, as I think most kids were back then.

I moved to the Indy area in 95 for a few years and became a Pacers fan; I loved watching Reggie Miller and Rik Smits. Also became a big Dallas Stars hockey fan after going to a game in Dallas, was a fan of Mike Modano and Eddie 'The Eagle' Belfour

Scotty Thurman. He hit the 3-pointer to defeat Duke in the '94 title game. After his sophomore year, he declared for the NBA and then never was drafted or picked up.

In no particular order.....

Andy Van Slyke (my favorite Pirate player growing up...)
Image

Jose Lind (Pirate's 2nd baseman, he sucked offensively but was didn't miss a ball at 2nd base....(.989 FP )
Image

Chris Spielman (the only jersey I have of a Buckeye player....)
Image

Keith Byars (My first memory of Ohio State football, I would run around the yard acting like Keith Byars....he got robbed by Flutie.)
Image

Jim Jackson (I'd play basketball at the park, I may only make 2/10 but I was always Jimmy Jackson....)
Image

Merril Hoge- I loved Hoge. He was tough as nails back then.
Image

Mark Malone- We hated Mark Malone, well I did cause my dad did. We would listen to the games on am radio growing up and I remember my dad's extreme hate for Mark Malone....

Louis Lipps- One of my first memories as a Steelers fan that I can remember was Louis Lipps....

I tried to go with players I liked growing up. I remember Byar's run vs the Illini where he lost his shoe and the Bucks came back after being down big. I could throw up some really funny ones, we used to make fun of Bubby Brister all the time and his mom and that damn Steeler car.
