might be a, can we gameshare thing

more than likely wont be a gameshare. certain companies do it, dont think rockstar is one of them

The reason you can’t have backwards compatibility is because the PS4 has a completely different architecture than the PS3. The PS3 runs on cell technology. I believe it’s 6 different processors and each processor has a specific job. You write software specific to that hardware.

The PS4 is using the same processor that a regular computer does. So, it doesn’t have the 6 different processors doing jobs. So, the only way to get it to work would be to re-write the code or to use an emulator. The emulator would still be a pain to get working properly.

The cell technology was a bad mistake for Sony all around. This was one of the reasons why the XBOX did so well early. Nobody knew how to write games for the PS3.

The PS4 has more in common with the PS2 than the PS3. So, an emulator for PS2 games might come out at some point.

Sony purchased Gaikai a while back. It’s a streaming service and there is some speculation that they will use that to stream PS3 games to the PS4. However, that is just speculation and the service doesn’t come on line until sometime 2014 at the earliest.

you can count me and beefy on there for sure. i still play gta4 to talk shit to random people. the airport will be on lockdown with beefy and myself. looking forward to some good times on there. nothing like getting thrown 100 feet down the runway by a mini van trendon is driving.

The online play is pretty ambitious. Probably just want to make sure they have everything working properly before they put it out. I'm fine with that, it is a welcome change in my book. Most companies seem to just throw shit out there and see if it works then try to fix it.

Ambitious doesn't appear to be strong enough of a word. Apparently, if I decide to play golf with a few friends, I could potentially be put into a situation where I fucking die while putting because Beefy's bank robbery went poorly and he crashed his car into the middle of the game and exploded while police shoot my teammates.

Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Apparently the game will take 100 !!!! hours to complete. what sucks if I was gonna trade in my PS3 to help with PS4 but then no point getting GTA 5 lol

yeah your mid swing on the 11th hole and Beefy drives thru the fairway with a Oj simpson like entourage of police behind him. shit is going to be out of control for sure.
