Yeah, I like that idea. Not everyone has their location listed, so post here if you don't, or if you know where someone lives and I'll update the first post.

My plan was to go with the current season's settings, but an open to anything. Anyone else have a preference?
I personally hate not having the beads, but Ill play through it.
I actually got so frustrated in one of the tournaments last night I quit it mid round. I had a series of three out of four holes where I stuck it within 8-10 feet only to 3-putt

I am with you brother. I hate the current settings. I played the first tourney and do not plan on playing anymore this season due to the settings. I warned when we first started playing that if we made the settings too hard it would only be enjoyable to a few and people would start dropping out. I couldnt tell you how many we started with and how many continue to play in the tourneys because these settings have made me comletely care less about playing and I typically bypass this thread. I was bored in class today and saw that there may be a season 2 for Ryder cup

Give me green grids, and turn swing difficulty on expert!
I'm not even asking for advanced shot shaping...at this moment.

Do you guys want to go back to green grids on for this Ryder Cup? Basically Season 3 settings (very hard swing difficulty) with season 1 and 2 greens settings. That way we keep everyone happy one way or the other?

Im on board with this too. Hell, make everything else as tough as you want, but the grid is the kicker for me

Reading the green with the information we're given (we know how far, how much above or below, and we can look at the green surface and see the break) isn't that hard.
Three-putts will happen, but they happen in real life. If you are three-putting more than 1-2 times a round, you're not paying attention to the information being put in front of you.
Besides, we're playing without the BEADS, not without the GRID. That is a whole different animal.

I believe we are all talking about the beads. If you guys vote for no beads that is fine by me, just count me out. I don't want the majority to change just because I don't find the game enjoyable when all I am doing is cussing up a storm the whole game because I am missing 4-6 foot puts when they look like they are straight but they break right at the hole.

I'm admittedly bias because I'm a golfer, and the number of times on the course that you say "WTF! That looked straight all the way and then broke at the end! Fuck!" is at least 5-6 per round.

I agree with this statement. I wouldn't call myself a golfer but I do go out as much as possible. When I was in Hawaii I was playing 4-6 rounds a week and was able to get down into the upper 80's consistently. Definitely not there anymore, I'm happy to break 95 now.
I am just thinking of how unenjoyable it is for me to play with beads off is why I put it out there. But do not base your decisions on the league because of me. I'll just go and trade the game in because I only play it with you guys, just like NCAA. The only game I truly enjoy is COD because of he knuckleheads I play with (beefy, Bama, AJ, Jason, Ted, Mike) always have me laughing.

Are you reading the putt ahead of time by pushing down on the (left I think) stick when your guy is just standing there. It makes all the difference I think. Putts that look straight, especially 4-6 footers, if you read the putt you'll be able to tell if there is break. The long ones are much tougher, as they should be, but the shorter ones are made much easier using this approach.

Do you get down at green level to read the break before the putt? It is just like reading a green on the course.
Never mind. What dak said.

Yes I get down and read it, doesnt work. I wont change my mind about it. If you guys want no beads that is fine by me, just count me out. I will not play a game that is unenjoyable just to play.

He's not talking about pushing the stick towards the hole. He's talking about pulling it towards you. You'll be able to see how far above/below your feet the ball is (which helps you see if it's going left to right, or right to left), the slope angle, etc.

I know.
I'll make this easier. I'm out of the Ryder Cup.

I'm fine w either setting, just not understanding how guys are having so many 3 putts. I will say, I hit a 42 footer in this week's daily to get the trophy so now I don't care about beads being on/off anymore.

i love the current settings..couldn't be more fun and its because it is harder, haven't seen any -18, -17, etc scores on these settings..if you play well you have earned it.
I'll make this easy...if we go back to beads, I quit.
