on another note, the Destiny BETA is down for a planned 2 day maintenance period. who does maintenance on a BETA

also read that everything is getting whipped out after the BETA and we all will start from scratch

After initially requiring a beta code for access, Bungie is opening up the Destiny beta to all gamers on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 3.

Starting today at 4 PM PDT, everyone will be free to play the ongoing beta. The only requirement will be an Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation Plus subscription, depending upon your console of choice. To start playing, check out the dashboard or store on your system for a link to download the beta.

I downloaded the beta to my PS3 for my son. Holy shit, it isn't even close. TV's are comparable that the two different machines are on, and there is a HUGE difference in the graphics.

This game is really good. Hopefully the full version doesn't add too much bullshit...

I played some yesterday and enjoyed it. The story mode seems pretty good and is heavily influenced by Borderlands. The MP seemed solid. The game has a lot of material to play with so it will be interesting to see it evolve over time.

I should also note that the best part of the game was also influenced by Socom. Dancing is back!
